I went through the tips thread last night and that took me forever but it was well worth it. I am now going to have to bring another suitcase just for the just in case items. I might have to bring my dad along too just to haul all the luggage but vacation for him is going outside and playing with his tools.

I'm gonna try to leave most of my "just in case" items at home. I hate schlepping extra luggage. As it is, I think I might bring an extra case packed less than full to bring home some cheap liquor from the islands. Gift for the cat-watcher, you know.....

The above accusations which are not true are the primary reason my DH wants complete privacy online. There are some true crazies out there. One person creates an account calling themselves "bagger" on this site and I found a "LesterDaJester" on the other site referenced. They make almost the exact same posts. I feel sorry for people like that. I can't prove they are the same person nor who actually did it, but their appearance seemed only to cause trouble. What a shame.

I hope most of you with some exceptions have a wonderful cruise. Thank goodness for my daughter's sake that no one really knows much details about us, our stateroom location or real names. My DH is once again totally on target.

I thought I remembered to post the Mondays this week, but it's been a busy one. Usually I remember about halfway thru the day, which of course works because I have time to sneak in the post before you guys wake up!

We will go visit several resorts and view the decorations (anyone have any suggestions of the best ones?) and will eat dinner at one of the resorts.

On Thursday we will rent a car and go to Cape Canaveral (unless if someone knows if any of the shuttle services do this - I would rather have someone else drive) - and we will hopefully see the shuttle take off. Come back to the hotel and relax for the evening.

Wow, you have definitely been working hard! After reading Bill and Jennifer's Trip Report, I would suggest taking a DVC tour of the resorts. You'd probably get a free gift card, and you'd have someone to drive you around.

I was looking at the website about the launches and they mentioned something about tickets to the launch and transportation tickets. I didn't really understand where the transportation is from. Check out Shirley's sticky at the top of the cruise forum. If not, you could probably start a thread and get some good info.

I have several boxes of Special K cereal just waiting for me to replace dinner with them. So far, it hasn't worked out too well for the Special K.

Okay, we get it. You don't want us to know anything about you. We already know:

You live in Alabama

You have a daughter in Pre-K who will be in the Oceaneer Club with some of the other DDs in this group

Your DD attends a state-subsidized private school. We know exactly how many days she is allowed to miss, and how much the state pays for your DD's tuition

You collect toy cars, and we know exactly which ones you are missing.

We also know about the Sleep Fairy

You will be leaving your hometown on Wednesday, going to the parks Thur and Fri and then staying at the Motel 6 in Port Canaveral on Saturday

Your DH loves seafood and you are VERY determined that you get brunch ressies. Which means you'll be at the front of the line for Palo's onboard.

You also do not want your real names announced when you board the ship

And you are in a Secret Verandah cabin on the ship. Since my DSis is in one, that only leaves 3 more.

You have a Hawaii cruise planned for next year. I believe it's on RCCL?

Oh, and you'll be the one wearing the thong.


So if you don't want us to know anything is everything you tell us a lie? I'm just very confused. If you want to maintain your privacy that is completely understandable in today's world. However, privacy is best achieved thru discretion. Putting a bunch of possible misinformation out to a group of folks who are just trying to be friendly is not the best way to protect your privacy, and to be honest is disrespectful.


I apologize to the rest of the readers, but I'm just getting tired of hearing how we are all a bunch of weirdos who are out to steal another posters identity. And as Jennifer stated earlier its the only way to communicate with someone who blocks their PM function. (You might want to consider allowing this. Talk to the mods if you have reservations about it. It really is a safe way to communicate off-thread).

I could care less how much you have "done" for this group. You and another poster have been nothing but rude and classless. I am proud to say I will happily avoid people like that. If only for the safety of my daughter.

This statement about motherhood and the idea of it being an "insult" makes me wonder if you even have a child. I just don't know any Mom who would ever use those words when describing the best experience ever!
