We laugh so hard when he does the Butt slide on the windshield :lmao:

I laugh so hard on so many parts of that movie. It's definitely one of my favorites of the "later" movies.

And then I cry so hard too. Ohana

My brother bought the boys some golf clubs last year for christmas and they are still dying to play with them but I don't golf and my friends don't either but my brother and all of his friends do, I saw his best friend this weekend and he promised that the next time he came to town he would take the boys golfing

My sister's future DH is trying out for the PGA tour. He goes to qualifiers, but no card yet. :sad2:

They came to visit a couple months ago and he brought his clubs to take down to San Diego... apparently some good golfing down there. And I was thinking.... you use your baggage allowance for golf clubs?? :confused3

Hey Bill
went to a cowboy game last year and the kids in front of me were acting ridiculous and I finally told them something to the effect of if they could sit down and stop throwing stuff at each other because I was trying to watch the game and then they told me If I couldn't see I could just watch it on the screens.....Hello like I forked out all of that money for gas, food, tickets to watch it on TV....OK so I didn't pay, put my point still stands

I had thought about it just for the convenience factor. But once you figure in the tip for the driver, it actually comes up to about $100 more. It's definitely a better deal for people that have 4 or more in their party though.

Come to think of it, I was looking at "Round trip".... maybe we could do the car to the port and then just DCL transport back to the airport afterwards. hmm. I'll have to price that out.

Where are Robby and Tina staying the night before? Maybe you could meet up and take a Town Car to the ship together.

I love the Disney bus, but I'm looking forward to being able to leave when we want to that morning. (We've got 7 so I was able to do a SUV limo for only about $100 more than the DCL transport including the tip.)

Wow, sorry we missed all the fun last night! I'll update the blog later today with Cruise's THREE pirate:!! (Congratulations) And Sweetpeas GTY rm, which room is the Staffords?

Jasmine will be disappointed to hear about the game. Her Dad is from Buffalo, so they are both Bills fans.

Jasmine you'd better stay up 'cause I see a gang of pirates on the horizon. Be prepared Matey!

I'll show this to her if I can ever drag her out of bed...

That's my DW!

This last time I had her at least check us into the VWL. I told her just in case I died she needed to know how to do somethings for a vacation. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

So...I feel like such a newbie. Is my family the only one who's never cruised before?

And seeing as you're all so "experienced" ;) I'm checking my reservation online madly--with a GTY room, I still have to wait for about a month to get a room assignment right?

Off to tuck in ds and wrest the book from his hands.

I used to be a TA in a former life. I've been on 19 cruises, 4 of them DCL. And I've learned more on this board than I can tell you. You will be well prepared! And we all obssessively check the website - at least I do! Makes me feel better just to see my reservation!

I'm calling it an early night tonight. Maybe some sleep will help. I think I'll probably pay a visit to the doctor tomorrow, since now I've got a fever to go with the coughing, sneezing and sore throat.

Beth
Yes, please take care of yourself! :flower3:

When you enter the terminal and head up the escalators they give you a number. Supposedly the numbers are by the time you arrive. However, last year we were there at 10:30 and got a number 6. There were folks entering at the same time given 2. Seemed the person at one escalator had a stack of numbers and the person at the other escalator had a much higher stack. But, we had DIS friends who gave us a nubmer 3 because they were invited to board with the suites by another DISer. ;) :goodvibes Love the DIS

We are planning on leaving POR at 1100, if they are still giving out numbers when we get there, I'll have DSis and DB get boarding numbers for their cabins. Since we're in a Suite, Jas and I will get Boarding Card #1, and can take the rest of the family with us. So we'll be happy to pass the other boarding cards onto other DISers who may have a higher number. You've all seen Jasmine's picture, so I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding us!
Nope, we have never cruised before either.

You will LOVE it!! And you're welcome to bring your boys along when Jasmine shows Joanne's kids around the Oceaneer Club.

Well I must pull Jas out of bed, she's got a checkup at the clinic this morning. I think I'll see if they can give me something for my headache while I'm there. I took an Ambien so I could sleep, but the headache is just hanging on.

I'll be back later....

Ok, so I'm not going back through last night's pages to find who posted it, but I just checked again and there's NOTHING showing for Palo for me. I had a bit of a glitch when my ressie was made. (I was actually online checking it before they were finished :hyper:...my TA had to call me and tell me to GET OUT! Busted. ) I'm wondering if my glitch has somehow "held" and that's why I'm seeing no availability? I have been able to book a shore excursion, and register and do all that other stuff, just no Palo. :confused3 ...So, if anyone's seeing any availability at Palo for ANY meals, please let me know and I'll start stalking my TA again...

I'm surprised when I look at the list how few kids there are in our little group...Have been meaning to dig out some electronic pics of our two to share. Any of you parents interested in exchanging some email or pm's between the kids (with parent-typists as required) so they can "get to know" each other?

Yeah, I think that'd be great! We can start a kids thread, but have the kids use our usernames for safety. What do you think?

I just heard the rumor about possible Alaska sailings in 2009 and Transpacific in 2010!

I've got a waitlist in for a Cat 3 for either Europe or Panama Canal in 2009. Can't wait to get a final answer!

Oh and Bill and Jennifer, think about if you want to buy into more than one resort. I was going to buy 200 points at SSR, but now am going to just buy the minimum 160. Then if I need more points, I'll buy into another resort. That way I'll have 2 places to choose from at 11 mos. out. I talked to the guide about this. He said he owns at 2 resorts, and will probably purchase a 3rd. One reason is that then each membership can be willed to a different person. (One per kid). But for reasons of usage, you can combine all of your points. Cool huh? :thumbsup2

Off to take dd to her "book club" (preschool story time at the library ;) ) I'll check in later re the kids' thing... :goodvibes
