We're always crazy busy during this season. I will be at AKV May 4-10, this will be my first DVC stay, we bought into it, when we were on our cruise in September. I am so excited, I heard now they are going to have a Pirate and Princess Party when we are there- so now we are doing that! My DD loves pirates!
Back to the concert thing, I had an ultimate concert experience. After 9/11- there was a benefit concert in Washington DC called "United we Stand"(40 min from me- with no traffic), all of these artists were there, alot just showed up and did some of there best songs. It went on for about 9 hours. Some of the groups were: Aerosmith, Michael Jackson James Brown, Pink, Al Green, Destiny's Child, P Diddy, Aerosmith, 'NSYNC, Goo Goo Dolls, Train, Mariah Carey, Usher, Rod Stewart, Kiss, Backstreet Boys, Ricky Martin, Train, Huey Lewis and the News, Carole King. There was also lots of actors that stopped by to talk as well. It was an awesome experience!! My 2 BF's went with me. My DH didn't go, and if I didn't have pictures of it, he wouldn't have believed us that all of those stars were there.

You are going to love DVC!!!!!!!!!!!DVC is the best...

Well summer 2008 is still shapping up, we were going to be on the Aug 3rd Mexican Rivera cruise but we switch to this one, Saved over $1400 by booking early and rebooking discount.

We may still fly out to Calif. Never been to Southern CA before so may still go to see the sites and meet up with some friends. Other than that who know, Lake George or cabin in Pocono's for a week might be in the cards.

and Oh course WDW is always a possiblity, Just wish we didn't have to cancel our contact for DVC, but thats another story.

I am doing Disneyland before the repo in 2008, and have a villa after the 2009 cruise, this is just 3 miles outside Disney WDW and for 10 days.

The short answer is problems with one of my wife's brothers.
It all came down to money.

Let's just say we are still pissed at him.

Some day in the future we still might buy via the resale market.

Oh gosh!!! I am sooo sorry to hear that. They do offer the BEST deal ever to purchase while on the cruise. We added on while we cruised the first time.........

Yes, thats when we went to purchase, we attended the presenation on board in 2006

I really am sorry it did not work out for you . The only regret we have about doing it is that we did not do it sonner.......Funny, how that works we regret not spending money sooner.....

Well with all of the Disney holidays I have had, I presume I would have been better off in the DVC, but we do not always do Disney!!!!

Well we have rented points the last couple of trips. so we have had the benefit of DVC and saved money on the unit over rack rate.

I have done the same thing a few times now. In fact I just checked out of BWV yesterday! I do want to become an owner so I don't have to deal with the uncertainty of renting. I just can't quite afford it yet!
