I just hope people when they comment on the pics. by the way very nice, don't keep replying by copying the pics over and over. Nothing worse in a thread than seeing the same pics on 5,6,7 or more posts.

Sorry, just had to give Tom a bit of run for his money......I just like to tease Tom.....

Abby,

What are you plans for the weekend??

Well we have rented points the last couple of trips. so we have had the benefit of DVC and saved money on the unit over rack rate.

I see you have stayed at Old Key West..How was that. We have said that we have wanted to try and stay there.. I hear the rooms are bigger there...Is that true??

I love SSR so much I just wonder how the two compare???????

More Fluff for TOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL - I had never heard of Marshmallow fluff until yesterday but someone on another forum I visit is desperately seeking a stockist in the UK so I learnt what this was yesterday! I have been instructed to try it when next in the States!

Oh gosh!!! I am sooo sorry to hear that. They do offer the BEST deal ever to purchase while on the cruise. We added on while we cruised the first time.........

Can I ask how good the deal was to purchase onboard? We have been toying with DVC and I would love to do it. At the moment our exchange rate is really favourable but we don't have the spare cash and I don't want to go on the finance route but it is at least a possibility that we will have a more realistic chance of buying in on the Cruise, PLUS we know we won't be visiting before the cruise so no real point buying in yet.

Andrew...

You're not seriously threatening to cuff anyone again... are you? This is supposed to be a family oriented yet otherwise free wheelin' forum! And I say the fuzzy pink cuffs are NOT needed.... yet.

Shucks!

I missed a sprint! Oh well... there's always the next one - including the 1st big 1000th posting looming on the horizon. Maybe I can get us up there all by myself... what do ya think K?

At any rate, I was about to leave fer the park and a run around town with my kids. However, I am finishing up a late lunch here - and was wandering around a bit as I finished my plate.

There is no keeping Crash undercontrol..Andrew you and I both know that...!!!!!!!!!!![/QUOTE]
I have to agree with you!:thumbsup2

I'm interested too. I don't understand quite how DVC works but it's caught my attention. I doubt we could ever buy into it anyway. Not when it takes us a year to pay for a cruise!

Abby,

What are you plans for the weekend??

Hi Kristin! Asking you a stupid question..........:rotfl: Are your girls identical or fraternal? I can see distinct differences between them in the pictures. Thanks for sharing more pictures! I have half-brothers who are twins. Growing up people could NOT tell them apart one bit, but of course we could. But now as adults I don't think they look anything alike. They are different heights, have distinctly different facial features. One looks like our dad more while the other looks like their mom. One is gay, while the other is not! I don't think they could be any more different if they tried! My dad said that they were probably fraternal twins but back in those days there wasn't ultrasound to confirm.

What do you all have planned? Today we are baking, and need to buy our dog Christmas gifts. I'm afraid this will be his last year with us :sad1: , so I want the kids to be able to do something extra special for him and remember it. He is just getting too old, and this year the cold weather has really taken a toll on him. I bought a scrapbook just for him so I need to take more pictures for it. Other than that we are staying as far away as possible from any stores!!

Ed and Kristin-

Thanks to you two :rotfl2: I motivated myself to send out Christmas cards! Normally I send them out right after Thanksgiving but this year I just couldn't get in the mood. Last night we watched POC3 so I figured that would be the perfect time to do them. So I guess it's better late than never!

Here is a picture of my kids not fighting! (how do I make these smaller? I'm copying them from Photobucket) This was dance recital picture day. If you look real closely though, you can see she has a bruise in the middle of her cheek. Earlier that week we were chipping golf wiffle balls across the street and she walked into his golf club head when he was swinging. :headache:

Here we are at the HSM Dance party onboard. I'm a really pale person but you can see my darn farmer's "tan". :rotfl: Oh, and I figured out how to re-size the pictures.

Wow! I just noticed we have 43 pages to this thread already!!! And I'm 8 away from 800 posts. Should I "fluff" it up to get to 800? :rotfl:

It is really easy. My parents own a "typical time share" and it is much harder and complicated to understand.

Well Disney offers you points to purchase. So you decide upon how many points to buy. Right now the least amount you can purchase is 160..You can buy right now into Animal Kindgom Lodge or Saratoga Springs (this is where we own).. We love it. Then you get the guide book once you buy. Depending upon what time of year and what type of accomadations you want/need it costs different amounts of points per night. A studio in September at Saratoga might cost you ten points a night. Friday and Saturday night stays cost more points. There are studio which have kitchenettes and a pullout sofa and a queen bed. There are one and two bedrooms which have king bed in the masterbedroom, whirlpool tubs, washter and dryers, and full kitchens, there are Grand Villas which sleep twelve and cost more points. It is really easy to understand and the rooms can not be beat...They are AWESOME...

Also, you do not just have to go to Disney there are over 500 locations around the world you can go and stay at..
We like it since we are not all in one reg. hotel room. When we went to NYC in May for Mother's Day weekend we complained the whole time about being in a regular room.
Also, if you do not use all of your points one year you can bank them or borrow from the next year for a HUGE trip if you wanted. This year we are taking friends with us to a two bedroom to Vero Beach Florida..

If you have more questions ask away DH teases that I should be a saleswomen for DVC!!!!!!!!!!

Mel,

They offer a really great discount. If onland they are offering ten dollars off per point at sea the offered fifteen dollars per point and they paid all closing costs, plus $1,200 toward the down payment. We only had to put down five hundred dollars down. Then all paper work arrived when we got home. THen we ended up paying it off when we got home. The fifteen dollars off per point was the best deal ever. Plus, when we went to the DVC presentation onbaord tons of Great freebies. My folks ended up purchasig while we were onboard.......!!!!!!!!!!!!

My girls are fraternal. We knew this when I was pregnant. They were in seperate sacks and had seperate cords so we knew they were fraternal. Yes, I bet with your half-brothers they probally did not know that back then. I have identical twin nieces and it is very hard to still tell them apart and they are twenty-five years old.
