The earlier you book the better the rate, sometimes that have specials during the summer where kids go free with paying adults.

AAA discount too, but it can still add up.
For a one way for the three of us and the car it was a little over $800.

For the auto train.

A lot of snow birds take the train. If you don't like flying or you need to get your car to or from Fl its a good way to go.

We figured it out, and Flying and renting a car for a week vs autotrain
Its about the same. If you catch a sale on airfare then flying is cheeper.

But as the song goes, there' something about a train and its magic

I get to go to Disneyland tomorrow! My dad just called and said he feels like driving up from San Diego tomorrow, so he's going to drag my mom with him (she'd not a Disney person) and we're going to meet at 7:30 by the tram. We're speculating that the threat of more rain will keep the crowds away. It seems so funny that I still get excited as often as I go, but I am. Yay, Disneyland! :cheer2:

OOOH, I AM JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have FUN!!!!!!!!!!

Take some pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The deck party is a great idea, and in the Med we had lanyards made for our Dis group, to help meet up, we also posted all our pictures, ( closer to the cruise) on the front page to put names to faces and did lists of disname and real name.

Dinner as posted above is a little different with so much going on I find it difficult to meet up with a large group. You can say hello and good bye, but I found before there was little time for anything else, I have to focus on my kids and help them, food etc.

Just as another idea, I've been on 3 cruises. One time we did the deck party and I personally didn't find it a good time to meet up with people -- too much going on. However, on the other 2 cruises, we set up a meet in the Promenade Lounge at 2:45 - so pretty much after boarding and lunch but before the boat drill. It worked out great in that we had time to chat with one another over a drink, we took a group picture and just made some friends for the week ahead.

Just a suggestion...

Ohhhhh take us take us :thumbsup2

Come on along! It's MLK weekend so the kids have a day off and because we bought annual passes, we found an excuse to do another trip. You know, we have to get our money's worth on the passes. :rotfl:

We met at 3 pm in the Promenade Lounge just a quick meet, people handing out ribbons, bubbles for the sailaway party, its a great way to meet up with the people you have been chatting with for months or more online.

I sure know that, We purchased the annual pass a couple times.
Made sure we traveled twice in 11 months to make it worth it

I would love that. DH is thinking about upgrading us to a suite since it is our 15th Anniversary if we do it we could do that in our room..............................

Kristin-

NICE! I'm bunking with you! :lmao: We'll be down on deck 2. No chance of upgrading! Ah well. I will live vicariously through you.

Exactly. I thought it worked out great both times we did this. When we tried to do the first meeting at the Deck Party on the other cruise, we really didn't connect with anyone as the meet was up on 10 but my kids really wanted to be down on 9 (so did I) so we went up there to try to find folks and then headed down to have fun at the party. That's why I like the Promenade Lounge meet first. We did the same, passed out bubbles, etc. for the sailaway and then went on our way. We connected with enough folks the first time that we ended up cruising with the same group again this year and are planning to in Nov. 08 too.

Anyone looking for an 08 cruise at a reasonable price, join the Bananaheads for the Nov. 29 Western! :)
