We're being entertained by DD right now.... after belting out her rendition of Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" she's doing the Cha Cha Slide in our kitchen.... On iChat people think I have quite an array of musical tastes!!

Sounds fab!!! I miss those days when the kids would perform for us - esp my DD, she was quite the prima donna!!! :goodvibes Actually, I forgot that for most of yesterday evening, DS played Hendrix along to NCIS, CSI-NY and Match of the Day on his electric guitar... :thumbsup2

Glad you got out for a change Kristin! We decided to brave the cold and go out to dinner, and I got my iPod. Now if I can just figure this thing out. :rotfl: We got home a few minutes ago and I am still cold. Tonight without windchill it's supposed to be -8. But I'm glad we aren't further north like so many of you!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

...Also, two new exhibits open at The Franklin Institute next month - "Real Pirates" and "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination". Both seem very cool.

Those sound excellent!!! :thumbsup2 We've got a couple of cool exhibitions on here at the mo - Tutenkhamen and the Chinese Terracotta Warriors... :goodvibes

Yes...Last cruise we did the Doubloon in St.Thomas and loved it!! May do it again or maybe one of the private daysails. There are some that get awesome reviews on cruise critic. If anyone is interested in doing one of the private ones together let me know. I was thinking about the dolphin encounter in Tortola but I am not sure. I have mixed emotions about those :confused3

We're thinking of scheduling a private boat in the Grand Cayman in December - if it's fun I think we may do that again in St Thomas. I know my DS wants to scuba in Tortola so will just accommodate that. As for Dolphin Encounters - I think we'll stick with Discovery Cove at WDW. I read an article about the resort-based encounters which upset me so... :sad2:

...However we LOVED the Doubloon last cruise. The crew was great and on the way back the painkillers do not stop. :drinking1 I didn't realize how much I had until I stood up to get off the boat :upsidedow :tilt: They were really tasty though!

Oooh sounds gooood.... ;)

I know it makes me wonder if the animals are treated nice or not. In the Bahamas they seemed like they were but you never know. I'm sure they would rather be out in the open waters..........

The article I read implied it wasn't so much how they were treated, but how they came to be there in the first place. And it didn't make me happy... :sad2:

I know it's a long way away but does anyone know what their pre-cruise plans are? Are you spending any time at WDW prior to the cruise? If not are you flying in early and staying near the port? Last cruise we flew in on Friday and went to MNSSHP then took a limo to the port the next morning. My son loved it!!! He thought the limo was the coolest thing ever.

We-ell, we're thinking we might make the cruise part of an extended lorida vacation. We're thinking of renting a villa in the Orlando area for the week prior to the cruise and staying at AKV the week after... The limo idea sounds awesome - my DS would love that too. Who am I kidding, I'd love it!!! :goodvibes

We will probably come down a few days early just not sure how much. I would love to spend a week before we go but Zane will probably not want to miss that much practice. I was reading one report that a group got together and rented a stretch hummer to take them to the port, they said it was awesome.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :worship: Would love to do that!!!

Nothing much here, just cruising the DIS and trying to recruit some old cruise mates to come joining our sailing.

That's a good idea!! I've tried a couple of mine but no joy so far... :cool1:

I'm with you!! However I love to dance, so I will be out there doing all of the line dancing!!(I have to teach my DD the cha cha slide, and the electric slide before then):goodvibes

I remember watching the Line Dancing classes onboard last time - wouldn't mind giving it a go... Maybe I could find my inner cowgirl...????

Hy everybody, I'm back from "night on the town", the movie was really good(27 Dresses), my DH even cracked a smile a few times.:cool1: We went to Olive Garden afterwards- a 45 min wait, but it's my favorite, so we waited. Great food and tons of leftovers!!

Glad ya had a good time!!!:thumbsup2

Bank some of them for next year. Then you will have some to rent closer to the cruise and have extra money for the cruise. Just make sure who you are renting to.

I need to sit down and see what our points situation is for next year... We're seriously thinking about doing the ABD Costa Rica tour so might want to use some for that - need to get my head around the whole banking and borrowing thing...

Wedding Singer is on now....

"Now let's cut the stupid cake because I know the fat guy's gonna have a heart attack if we don't eat again soon...."

Love that film... :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Love stinks!!!! He's losing his mind... And I'm reaping the benefits. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Lets see,

Planning for Fish Extenders gifts,
door tagging
excusion planning
week before/ after cruise meets.
door magnets
shirts

On board group photo,

and a thousand other things :rotfl2: :worship:

It's just so much fun... And my other threads have petered out so I guess you're stuck with me... ;)

My last group was really good. We planned a lot however the thread moved no where near as fast as this one until about 1 month before we left. We did all have a really good time though and it was nice to see "friends" on the ship. I posted over there and I am trying to get some of them to join us!

Same here! :thumbsup2 DH and I linked ressies with 2 other couples which worked out beautifully and we had a fantastic time... :cloud9:
