Since Disney is torturing all of us by not giving 2007 info, does anybody have an educated guess how much DDP will be in 07? I was thinking 3-5 more? What do think? I have no idea what the 05-06 increase was. I am trying to get a rough idea of how much our trip is going to cost!

In 2005 it was $34.99. If they do raise it, I'll take a guess at $39.99

The included tip went from 15% to 18% in 2006. That was one of the reasons for the price increase. I guess $39.99 is a possibility but I suspect Disney may keep the price the same.

I wonder what changes will be made. Will WS restaurants like Chefs De France drop out? Will Disney decide to do something to limit sharing?

Whatever they decide to do. I hope they make all the rules clearer on the plan or we may need a sharing sub-board.

I have no clue, but of course that won't stop me from speculating.

$39.99 A / $13.99 C

I'll guess $38.99 A / $12.99 C.

lol, I too have no clue but will give it a guess: A 38.99/ C 15.99

Who ever is closest gets to be dining board king for the day.
(however it will be a constitutional monarchy so you still must follow the rules)

I thought it was $40 p/adult now LOL. Think the increase w/be modest. This has got to be a huge money maker for WDW or they would have pulled the plug by now (or increased the price dramatically).

I can only imagine the number of credits that go unused or "under" utilized, especially snack credits...we're always guilty of letting them get away from us. We're greedy 'lil piggies, don't want to waste them on a soft drink.

Since ME will be "free" for another year, do expect plan to raise 10%...my prediction:

Adults $40.99
Children $11.99
Juniors $25.99

Think it's only a matter of time before a junior category is introduced...bet there's a lot of "repeat" 9-years old on the DP.:rolleyes1

Funny thing is I thought of adding "I really hope they come out with Jr prices" but honestly $40 is a deal and unless they came out with Jr buffet prices and Jr menus I don't know how Disney could do it.

I'll bite :stir: oh, I dunno...

from these threads it seems as though an awful lot of children's DP options are being allocated for adult dining & their meals are being paid for OOP.

Think it would be more lucrative for WDW to eliminate OOP meals entirely @ a table when the DP is used, if credits remain on room key.

Using that scenario & letting Jr's eat from the adult menu, would probably tip the scale toward WDW.

One way of doing a junior menu would be to have it limited to a certain price range. Lets say under $18 for an entree. That could cause more complications for the establishments though and I doubt Disney would do it.

The scenerio given of not allowing people to pay OOP at a table using the dining plan would not work IMO. What about the people who eat with a party that is not on the dining plan ( parents visiting, etc. )? Are they supposed to sit at different tables?

The real option here is to seperate child credits from adult credits which may or may not be something Disney decides to do. Personally, I think it would be a good idea and pretty much end the debate.

I'll predict the pricing stays the same. Disney will tweak some plan provisions. Separate child and adult credits. Possibly start to limit drinks to fountain drinks.

I can't see junior pricing. That would require Disney create a third pricing point for the character meals. CM sells out. Disney would have to raise the adult price in order to keep the revenue the same. It would be next to impossible to explain to cash guests why adults can't order a junior meal. Even if Disney set up a junior pricing for cash guests, I DON'T THINK THEY WILL, the cost for a junior TS meal, CS meal and snack would probably be less than the adult cost of the meal plan. Disney would probably be saving less than a $1 in the actual cost of the food.

I've posted this quite often, but DP or not I really wish Disney would have junior pricing for the dinner shows. My DH wanted to see HDD again and I can't bring myself to spend $50 each for my 4 "adults".

The food isn't very good at the dinner shows. I don't think the actual cost for the food, even for an adult meal, is more than a few dollars. My guess is less than $10. Disney probably wouldn't save more than $1-$2 in reduced food costs if they offered junior pricing. We're basically paying for a seat at a table.

The only reason to offer junior pricing would be to motive more families to participate. I don't know if discounting the adult price or offering junior pricing would increase the number of customers enough to increase profits.

Very simple - the "extra/visiting person" would pay on a sep. check...the same way alcohol or non-DP items (think glow cubes) are handled.

WDW's "front line of defense" is the servers...most whom encourage ordering extra items on the DP that they graciously include w/your DP but, reap the extra automatic gratuity.;)
