Yesterday was a hectic, but GREAT Disney day!
We were at Epcot for opening. I bought a few pins
and we ate a light breakfast at the Fountainview Cafe. Fruit tulips -- how can you go wrong with THAT for breakfast?
And afterwards the backside was crawling with BORED nothing to do Characters!
We had numerous PhotoPass snaps taken, some with multiple characters.
Lunch later was at Big River Grille. (3 adults) I was wanting some more cheese soup.
I think it was a little better last time. But still pretty darn good. Maybe I was just hungrier last time.
The soup is worth the trip alone.
I also ate the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was literally the most moist and tender I ever recall eating!
DH ate a steak wrap special they had, and he seemed pleased.
He said it was not as hot (temperature-wise) as he thought it should be. But otherwise he liked it.
We had movie tickets for Pirates at AMC in DTD that evening.
For a quixk bite before the movie, we went to Wolfgang Puck's Express (Marketplace, DTD).
This was my second time eating here; DH's first.
I don't think it will be our last. A quick GOOD meal.
I had the lasagna. It was smooth, creamy, flavorful and just plain GOOD! Lots of garlic. Glad I had mints on me!
DH ate the meatloaf. His looked so good a guest coming in asked him what it was.
We split a ceasar salad. That was so large we did not even finish it off.
Very good, and I know DH will be going back. He liked it better than Earl of Sandwich, which he really likes.
Fountainview was dead when we went in. I think everyone was off running for Fast Passes.
BRG -- I think there were maybe three other tables of guests being served. We arrived around 11:35 am.
Puck's Express -- Plenty of available seating. They were busy. But it is very fast in and out for a GOOD, quick bite. Indoor and outdoor seating was available. We were there probably 5:30-ish.
There is GOOD food available WITHOUT ADR's.
