'06 or '07?? I'm confused

Is teh dinning plan on a calendar year, or by release date. For example- i heard they made some changes, certain restairants are not participating, there is talk of menus being limited? Did/do these changes when we hit Jan. '07, or as soon as they are announced.
We are going in October (this year- 33days!!!) and I am wondering how this will affect my ADR's I booked ages ago. Actually I just cancelled one and rebooked for a differnt restaurant- I was expecting her to tell me we had to eat at some wacky time but she said Chefs de France was wide open.
DId I miss something? Are they not on the plan anymore? Can I trust the Disney site for the most current info?

I am pretty sure that it is by Calendar year so the 2007 plan would start January 1st, 2007

That turned out not to be true. While we don't know, yet, what the full list of participating restaurants will be for 2007 (because its still over three months away), we don't know of any restaurants, yet, which are assuredly not participating in 2007.

Limitations like that have nothing to do with calendar year, release date of the brochure, or anything else really. The Dining Plan, from the beginning, always had provisions for changes like that being applied at any time. Each restaurant is free to apply such limitations. The only thing that has changed, in that regard, recently, is that the dessert at Tony's appears, now, to be limited to a specific dessert sampler.

They're still on the plan. You got lucky. Seriously, not every restauarant is always booked 100% all the time. Indeed, very few restaurants are.

Can I trust the Disney site for the most current info?

No. The most current info will always, exclusively, be available at each individual restaurant, and with regard to the Dining Plan itself, exclusively be available in the brochure that you're provided when you check-in at your hotel. Prior to that, this forum is the best source of information for you, although even here, we don't get a clear view of what you'll personally, actually encounter during your trip.
