The POTC store is part of the newly remodeled World of Disney at DTD. It is a really neat store and they had all kinds of pirate stuff. Not really sure of the adult selection, but we'll have to see.

BethA- I don't know if I would stay on the ship, I don't think it's that bad. Most likey the reason for not donating blood after CM is that they probably just aren't sure since it hasn't really been a tourist attraction until just recently. They are probably being very cautious.

It might help to ask those who did the excursion on the last double dip if they had any problems.

Charla-I just saw that sunblock/bug spray the other day. I think they even have some in the wipes.

Good Morning everyone - just 13 more days till we set sail. Let's all spread some good so that the hurricane season won't effect our trip.

Musicgirl - I am surprised about not being able to take magnetic door signs on the plane . I didn't even think to ask so I am glad you found out. I guess I will be looking into shipping them down to the boat. I just printed them this weekend.

Bartjwb - I usually monitor my kids when they are on the computer unless they are playing a game on a disk and not on line. Although my oldest is now doing searches for school and can take over an hour to finish homework. I will supervise for a while but then need to get back to my work. They are very aware of the hazards of the Internet and usually ask me to help them all the time. I also go and check their computers to see where they have been.

Musicgirl - I had also read that David and Ivan was cash only and I thought they wanted us to use their bug spray (sometime of environment friendly stuff). I will have to check that out again to see if we can put some on before we get onto the island.

I still haven't pulled any clothes out yet but I have been buying all the little things like water cameras, bonine, and stuff like that. We still have 4 days of school left so I am just trying to get to the end of that. We don't leave until the day before so I feel I have plenty of time .

40Mom - thanks for reminding me about the glow sticks. I read that on a board somewhere that people use these as night lights, what a great idea

RCBA - I have also bought new cameras for the trip along with a 2GB card. My DH thought he was done with this trip when we paid off the balance now he's

Hi Sujo! The Navigator from the first Special Western trip lists the pirate night as Wednesday.

I'm assuming they'll do the same for us! Are you dressing up?

40Mom - My DD's are dressing up. I bought a shirt that has the pirate skull and crossbones on it. That was as far as I was going to dress up. Me in a pirates costume could be too scary for some small children .

Yes, Wednesday night. We had a similar itinerary (western double dip) for our Thanksgiving cruise and pirate night was Wednesday

Boy Oh Boy.... I can not belive we already have a potential hurricane out there! We have lived in West Palm Beach all our lives and are overwelmed at what we have to deal with every year now. I agree with lets all send to keep the storms away.

I'm here Tinky!!! I know, with school out, all I do is get on the computer and check all my sites. Maybe checking the thread 10-15 times a day is a bit of overkill!

For those interested, I asked one of the past double dippers about the bugs and she said that they didn't have any problems. They did one of the excursions and as she put it, they jungle tested the stuff with not one bite. She said she used the SafeSea. Not specifically for bugs, but hey it's a repellant of some sort.

Meg, I believe it was bk for all and any at 7:30 at Topsiders. And then heading off around 8:15.

Some may want to shop first and then go to the beach. Some may want to go to the beach first and then shop.

I was told to go to the far end of the beach. There is a bar with swings and great margaritas. The posters of that comment said that they were the best margaritas she ever had!! I'm game!!!

The beach isn't that big that anyone coming later wouldn't find the group.

RCBA - How did you know that I went shopping today? I finally got myself some clothes! I also got my DH some shirts for Father's Day. How convienient (sp?) that Father's Day is right before the cruise. Kills two birds with one stone! What did you buy? Tomorrow I'm hoping to get the last of our pirate stuff.

Just found out today from my DH that one of his patients and another physician that works in the same hospital are also both going on our cruise. Small world huh? Trying to get more info about their families.

So excited, got my confirmaton from David and Ivan yesterday so we will be on the 6/27 tour!! Will meet back at Maj beach after tour. I have a question about bringing water bottles on board. Do you usually pack a suitcase full like some posts said or is there a better way? I am a water only person (ok red wine too ),but need lots of water for me,any suggestions?

to my friend that went last year and she said to do this exact thing! Sounds like a perfect plan. Especially the marg-a-RITA part !
