06/24/2006 - Special Western Cruise - Who Else!?

OH, I am sooo glad that DTD will have pirate stuff. We will be going there the day we fly in. DS is pretty set, but the rest of us are up in the air.

How many of you are totally dressing up for pirate night? I want to, I hope I can find stuff to wear.

I was originally booked for the first double dip... It was a horrible day at work and all I could think was I should be on the Magic... I should be on the Magic... I should be on the Magic.... Don't get me wrong, I am very happy I get to cruise with everyone on our June 24th cruise, but it was tough today at work. Had it been an ok day, I wouldn't have felt like I needed the Disney Magic. :wizard: But soon enough..,. 3 1/2 weeks and we will be flying down there!!!

When we board, we will be the family wearing lime green shirts! I already have mine, DD has a dress that is lime green, and I am determined to find something for DS and DH as well. We plan on boarding as a DIS family!

I don't know about beaches n cream yet. We will be in MK all day and it is our only park day. I don't know if we will be ready to leave yet by that time. Someone mentioned that it is a late night for resort guests. Maybe we will go back... Hmmm,

has anyone been to the parks on the late night days? Is it worth it to keep the kids up for the fun? I don't want them too tired before we get on the ship. I know that it will be very hot that day, and I just am not sure how long to stay, or if we should plan on a break during the day.... any ideas?

I am interested to hear what others think about Extra Evening Hours also. You get a wristband or something so they know you are with a resort and can then go on the rides? Since DS and DD are teens, we are thinking about having relaxing mornings, perhaps doing water parks or pools, and then heading to the parks later in the day and taking advantage of Extra Evening Hours.

I just saw the pictures of the Magic as they sailed away. I am sooo pumped for our turn to come. 4 more weeks! I can hardly wait!!!

Is anyone planning to stay up for the Extra Magic Hours @ Magic Kingdom on 6/23?

We're doing the late night at MK on the 23rd!!! I think Jillpie is too.

We're getting a 1 day hopper, here's our plan.
AK in the morning to do the new coaster and animals (for DH-Bill)
Epcot for the family
BC at 4 for the dis meet
Back to Epcot depending on time, maybe a dip in the hotel pool
MK after dinner

I know my ds-Andrew and I will be doing the late night at MK for sure. I'm sure once Bill sees the parade at Epcot, he'll join us a for a bit.

They have a list of rides that are open late-mainly the big ones.

I had a dream last night that I was able to book Palo online...I checked first thing - it was only a dream :sad2:

Living in Florida, we're lucky enough to have annual passes and go quite often. As for the extra magic hours, the early morning hour tends to be the best use of the EMH because there are less people in the parks. We have noticed that the EMH in the evenings are almost as crowded as the regular park hours. Our theory is that so many people stay on Disney property now, and most guests find the evening hours more conveinent (More crowded). Since most guests tend to be out late at night, they have a difficult time making it to the morning EMH. We tend to see the parks filling around 10 am, so you get approx. 2 hours of shorter lines!!! We're not saying not to go to the evening EMH, (we will probably even go) but don't expect it to be as "empty" as you might think. One more suggestion, if the evening EMH is a part of your plan (especially if you have children) a mid-day break would definetly be recommended! It's amazing how a couple hours swimming and napping can recharge you for those late nights!

Charla- Glad you got your res at BCV!

The new World of Disney at DTD is Awesome especially if you're a POC fan!! I think your kids will love it!!! You should be able to find all your wants for Pirate night.

Only 2more days!!!!! :teacher:

Soon We'll be SAILIN" AWAY to paradise!-Jamie-

Vija-What size memo board do you want 8 x 10 or 5 x 7 and what name do you want on it? Do you want a last name, first names only or no name?

Wow! I have been out of town for work to Washington DC and I have missed a lot in 2 weeks.

I am running so behind on getting things ready. Have not been able to start on our door magnet. Still have not been able to secure a wedding cake for my mom and dad, but have not given up.

Keep thinking about this time next month. :cool1:

Still moving forward with planning! My mom (DD17's grandma) came up this weekend and has been helping to hem a dress (for me, I'm short!) and take in side seams for DD17 (everything has to be form fitting!). She has been working for about six hours already, I am so thankful she is willing to do it! I can do it, but DD17 is not quite as patient with me.

We have one dress for DD17 that is two inches longer on one side! Grandma noticed it and is going to fix it. That is very nice of her...if it were up to me, I would tell DD17 to lean to the left the evening she wore it and we would just tell everyone the ship was listing. :rotfl2:

Marie- :rotfl: I'm short as well! 5'2" and proud of it!! Bill is 6'2" and Andrew is about 5'11" or so now. I look like the little kid from the back!

Lorie...I am 5'2, DH is 6'2, DD17 is 5'10 and DS14 is 6'0 (and growing fast!). You are probably like me an never have to reach anything down from the high places!

Just checked the trip report from the 5/27 double dip, and it looks like the theme nights will be as we suspected (Formal= Monday Semi Formal= Thursday and Pirate= Wednesday)- Jamie

:cool1: I'm glad we know the theme nights for sure now.

Now if I could just get the kid navigators :lmao:

I have been shopping for the trip again today :ssst:
The good new is, I'm almost done!

Great! There are a few things I want to do w/ DS and don't want to have him booked into Flounders during those times. I originally had him booked during the pirate: party

Marie-at least I'm not the only one!! Wow are your girls tall!! Obviously they didn't get their height from you!!! The nice thing about being tall is that whenever you gain a few pounds, it's not as noticeable as when you are 5'2"!!

Charla-It's seems I'll be looking up to you!!!
