06/11/05 7- Night West Coast Cruise

Do any of you have late seating for dinner? I know even if someone else does besides us that we still have the different rotations so we still might not be in the same room. Maybe we can compare KTTW cards when we meet!

Somebody...did we ever arrange a 2nd cruise meets in case somebody can't make it to our first one. Since our group is growing. :cheer2: I thought maybe it would be a good idea to make another one.

Welcome Janet MB...I have a DS who will be almost 3 also. He can't go to the club because he's not potty trained. Are you planning to send Sophie to the club? Anyway don't forget to PM me the names of people in your party along with your hometown. I'm making the name tags for our cruise meets....Hey Ppiglet and Stinasmom...I know you guys think that I know all your names already but I need to make sure I spell them right so e mail me those names and your hometown. I know shame on me I should know that by now.

Oh, and JanetMB don't forget to PM monstro a picture of your family Dawn and I are working on getting ours to him.

I'm hoping to get Sophie in the club. She will be three weeks from turning three and she's potty-trained. DCL told me she could go in if they had the space but it's looking like it will be a very full cruise kid-wise. She and Natalie are sooo close and I would hate for Natalie to get to go and Sophie not. I guess I'm allowed to go in there with her if there's something she really wants to do?

I'll look through my photos and pick one out.

We also have late seating. We were hoping for early since we have young kids but when we booked that was the only available time.

I'll ask Dawn about how full the clubs are. She was playing around with the kids ages the other day. I know they'll let them in on a trial basis if they have room. Too bad my son won't be potty trained. Oh, well.

Did you book your excursions through Disney or are you going to do it when you get to the ports? We have such young children I was afraid to wait until we got to each place because I didn't want to venture around with them not knowing where we were going. What is your opinion?
dkchavez!!

We booked them through Disney. This is our first cruise too and DH really wants to just have it "taken care of" especially with two young kids.

We're leaning toward the Paradise Beach Adventure, Mazatlan City Tour and Show, and the Cabo Resort Getaway.

Who's Dawn? I'd love any info because I really want to get her in there with her sister! I think I saw a post about it then I played around with it a bit myself. A few days ago the 3-4 year-old group was the only one with any openings and I'm guessing it will be full by cruise time.

Does he show any interest in PT yet? You've still got over a month!

You can call and request to be "linked" Linked is when they assign you together for dinner seating. For example. Our group of 19 are all "Linked" We'll all have the same dinner rotation with tables next to each other.

To be linked you need to share the same seating - early or late and you both (or more) should call and request it.

Thanks! We're very excited about our first cruise.

You guys are going to LOVE it!

I'll PM you the password to our Cruise Meet Photo Album. I'll also send you my email address - you can forward me a picture for the album - if you want. It's kind of fun to see everyone's sailing party.

dkchavez - you as well. :)

Dawn's DIS name is Dawnee. I just e mailed her and asked her about the attendance when she played with the ressies on the ship. I'll see her tomorrow and I'll ask her again. She's just hoping for an upgrade...that's why she's playing around with the ship's ressie...trying to wish herself an upgrade.
My DS tells me to go on the Mickey boat without him since Mickey doesn't want him in Diapers. So, at that point I stopped pushing. It would take a miracle to get him to go in a month. I know though that god does perform miracles. I'll just have to see what's in the plans.

In answer to someone's question about the kids club being full:

I believe that most age groups of the kids clubs are full. When I was fooling around, I tried different ages from 3 - 12. At that time, it would allow two 10 - 12 year olds, but not three in the 10 - 12 year old age group. Forget about the younger kids, it wouldn't take them, or I should say show any rooms available on our cruise date. If I put in adults only, with a 2 year old, no problem, they had lots of cabins in different categories available.

HTH someone!!

Are you just going to the DCL website? About an hour ago it would let me choose Cat 4-12 with two adults and a 4 year old but not two kids of any age. It would also let me choose those categories with one adult and two kids ages 3 and 4. A day or two ago it didn't have any available. Wonder why it would fluctuate since the cancellation period has passed?

Do you know if the kids clubs are officially full if they will let us put her in when it's not crowded with the promise of us coming to get her if a bunch more kids come?

Thanks!

JanetMB...we are doing the old matz walking tour, the PV city tour, and Cabo harbor cruise and Scenic dr. I don't remember if Matz had two different tours or this is the one you are doing.

Maybe we should all plan on being dock side deck 10 for the sail away party. It's a good spot for it. That coud be our back-up meet spot and time.

That sounds good. So after the drill (and after you've been back to your room) head to deck 10 dock side for sail a way. That's by one of the pools right? I have to read my passporter again to get all the locations of things memorized again!
