Just as Rebecca said, I was caught off guard about how chilly it was at night, .

We were so caught off guard as well... We innocenlty thought 'oh we are going to Mexico, we don't need not stinking sweaters/jackets" So Mother nature decided to make us her personal joke and taught us a lesson....no matter how little or how much you decide to pack YOU BETTER MAKE ROOM in your luggage for those chilly nights that you will need something more then a short sleeved shirt.

Wow we go a few days without posting and we fall down the list extremely quickly I have been my usual list making fool again. I started realizing how much is going on before we leave...ie...Jennah leaves for Science Camp on Monday, Next Sunday is the boys 7 birthday and party, My Dad is coming out for a week long visit the first week of May, End of year Dance recital second week of May, Last week of school thrid week of May, signing kids up for new 'home' school... We decided to take them out of private school and I am going to join a charter school and home school them ...and the list goes on and on... uuugggg LOL trying not to stress, but I feel it creeping back in. I've been staying up late and making our magnetic door signs. It seems my only "quiet time" is after everyone else is in bed. They're fun to do, though, and it makes it feel like the cruise is finally "real"!!

I have been scouring the boards saving all the cute disney clip art to make my signs, and went to design them.... COULD NOT find a single one that I downloaded... started to stress, asked DH 'babe I can't find the dang clip art' he looked on my pc and said 'you must have not did it right' I was like " oh my gosh dear it isn't that hard to save a picture' he was like well when did you download them I said "today when I was browsing the boards', he was like "D E A R were you using your lap top or your pc"? I was like "my lap top of course" He was like 'well then you will have to email then all in a file to your email address, open your email on your pc and download them there. You see the program that I use to edit them is only on my pc... Was my face red I even found some cute disney/mexican themed ones...they are cute. can't wait to design them. Big

I am so jealous I do not have a creative bone in my body. I have emailed KristeN from another thread to help me out with my door signs; however, she is so busy...many many requests, so I will cross my fingers. My DD is the creative one; however, as you all know, my DH and I are waiting until the day before we leave for the cruise to surprise my son and daughter with the trip. So let's see what I come up with.

The signs don't have to be fancy. Do you have a program in your computer like Printmaster? Or just use stickers and markers. One of my favorites from a couple of years ago, I'd cut out the names of our ports from travel magazines, used some stickers and other cute travel phrases I'd cut out of magazines....not at all "creative" but I liked it and that was all that mattered!

It was actually on the dis boards... but for some reason I'm not allowed to post any photos or links...but if your up to the challange you could look through the list...or maybe do a search. I will go look and see if I can narrow down a page for you.

Thanks for the links. I found some clipart to represent each of us that I'll put on the door! Thanks also for the pics you posted. I love the top one and the pirate one. It would be fun to put a different picture out every day. I'm going to play around with them next weekend when I have time.

Hello everyone.

We're down to less than 8 weeks and DH tore a tendon in his arm. Yup, less than 8 weeks to go and DH has to have surgery on his arm. Right now it's scheduled for Thursday of this week so hopefully they won't have to reschedule so we can get this over with and let the healing process begin. So far it doesn't look like it will have a huge impact on the cruise other than he'll be wearing a splint. He can't swim with the dolphins so he may just do the encounter with the baby while I do the swim with the big kids. Hopefully that will be the only impact.

I'm not sure yet if I'm going to do door signs. I may do one or 2 if I have time so thanks for the clipart links. I have a print program that has disney characters so it shouldn't be too hard.

Oh goodness I'm so sorry, Its gotta suck being "sick" on a cruise, but i'm sure your dh would much rather go with a sling then not go at all. Hope all goes well, and he is as pain free as he can be give him hugs from all of us. Have a nice evening.
