Hi everyone. It has been some time since I have made a post. My name is Kevin. My wife, Nicholle, and my daughter, Skye, will be on the cruise with all of you and we just wanted to say hi.

We have been planning this trip for as long as it is possible. My wife in in travel and as soon as she heard heard about the cruises we started planning. We made reservations the first day possible. This will be our first cruise.

Like some of you, we are keeping the trip a secret. We have not told Skye anything. She has no idea and we are not going to tell her until 6 days befoe we head out.

Her birthday, she is turning 12, is on the 7th and we are spending it at DL and the 6th at CA. She was very excited this year as her birthday fell on a Saturday and she could have her party on her actual birthday. It was no fun telling her that she had to have her birthday a week early because I was going on a trip with her stepmon.

We are going to tell her with a book that is going to have pages of poems, rhymes, clues, and maps slowly getting closer to Anahiem. I have a POTC birthday card with a music chip that will play a song. I am going to take the card apart and put the music chip in her book so it plays when she opens the last page. I will post pictures of it when I am finished.

We are very excited and I have been lurking all over this board writing down hints and tips along the way.

By the way in Cabo we are doing the dolphin swim, Mazatlan we are going to hang out at a hotel and a beach. and at PV we are going to do the extreme jungle adventure speedboat-unimog-zipline adventure.

We will be staying in 8056. I picking the cabin with help from this website.

Welcome back! We're just down the hall from you in 8086. We are also doing the extreme adventure in PV.... My DD is 13 so I'm sure that Skye will be welcome to hang with her and her BFF....

Please add us on to the list. We cant wait. We just booked last week, so we do not know what cabin we have yet. It will beme & my husband and my son 12 and my daughter 4. We feel kind of guilty leaving the 17 year old behind, but he has too many things going on this summer. It is all we can think about. We are also from Texas. We look forward to making some new friends.

I just went back and read all of the posts since page 24. I realized after reading them all that I did not put our names or ages. We would like to participate in the FE but we dont have one. I am going to see if I can still get one this late. Do we buy for just the children or the whole family? or both. I definitely do not know how to add us to the list. Here are our names and ages. Husband Bj 49, Mother/wife Alana 41 will be 42 when we cruise( I am holding on to 41 as long as I can). Son Connor 12, Daughter Sabrina 4. We have cruised 5 or 6 time on DCL and I have never found the DIS meet. I hope I find everyone this time.

My DD just turned 12 back in March, so she will happy to see another person her age in the group. She went through the list this weekend, counting how many people were close to her age. There are several 11-13 year olds in the group.

I understand. I turn 40 on the cruise, but when I put my name on the list, I listed 39. No need to use 40 any sooner than I have to.

I know it is dumb, but I cant help it. It is just a number. Age is a state of mind. I still cant believe I am going to be 42 on June 3. I really wanted to go on a Disney Cruise on my 40th birthday, but it did not work out. I moped around all day. This is my birthday present for my 42nd birthday. I cant wait.

I am about to finish up my FE gifts and want to make sure of the # of cabins. I get a total of 15 from the last list posted.

I see where Alana (aseal) has joined & I wish I knew how to update the list, but last time I lost all of the red font!

Also, I see Kevin (kevandnic)...are you joining the FE exchange?

After this week I will not be able to do anything more on the crafts, so I wanted to be sure that I have a good number (although I will probably make 1 or 2 extra.)

Hard to tell if there will be any open, but I'd have to say I doubt it. Usually 2 weeks before the cruise, if they have any Cat 1, 2, or 3 open, they'll start moving people up. DCL wants to fill the higher Cats and leave open the lower ones for last-minute bookings.

For a family of 3, my guess is that it would be approximately $10,000 for a Cat 3.

To be honest, I don't think you will be able to upgrade to a Cat 3. There are only 2 of them onboard and they book up almost immediately

There are 12 or 14 Category 3's. There are only 2 Category 2's and 2 Category 1's.

I had a call a while back that one of the handicap Cat 3's in the aft was open, but I wasn't going to pay several thousand dollars more for it, so I turned it down.
Now if they were to offer it to me for FREE......
