06/08/08 Magic And Mickey To Mexico!!!

OK - I checked my last visit was July of 1992 - Fantasmic was brand new...My only other visit was in 1981 - trying to remember if there were still ticket books - I do remember visiting either one of the parks with ticket books. Regardless, it's been too few visits!!!

We are a bit rusty, aren't we?!! Besides our visit in '99, I can't even check the visits before that -- my records don't go back that far anymore!! :rotfl2: (it was the late 70's and we used to stay at the Disneyland Hotel - at least I can "sorta" remember!!) :lmao:

Yep....I'm sitting by the phone, too.

We DO plan on a couple of days at the park afterward, don't we, Laura??

I'm bummed. For this visit in March, Splash Mountain is down for refurbishing, so is the RR Train, Tom Sawyer Island (they just got done with that!)....and something else, I forget now.

Also, they've already removed the Boardwalk at California Adventure and have started adding another attraction.
And I LIKED the Boardwalk! They had a place there where you could get great chicken strips!!!

::yes:: DL after the cruise! :woohoo:

Geesh, sounds like they will be doing lots of work during Spring Break season. Don't they know they're supposed to get all that done in January-February?! And I never even got to see the Boardwalk.
:sad2:

This was one of the reasons I decided to just go ahead and go to WDW.

If everyone is planning on doing a few days at DL after your cruise next summer, we can also probably plan on meeting up there. That would be over a week after school got out here and hopefully graduation would be over. I know Dale would like having some older kids to hang out with at DL. Keep us posted on your plans.

Hey, it is snowing here in El Paso!!! We closed early on Friday because we were supposed to get bad weather and it really never came. now here we are with snow.

That's our snow from yesterday.....I should have warned you!

By the time we get back from the cruise and do Disneyland, it will be June 15th.....I HOPE they've figured out Dale's graduation by then!
Jordan will be 18 that summer (YIKES!) and I really hope she doesn't bail out on us.....but Jared will definitely be there. Hard to imagine that he'll get his Learner's Permit when we get back from that trip.

Word on the main boards is that Inventory Control has not even started working on the list of requests yet!!!

Hey, we could have an early birthday celebratin for Dale and Jared. Dale will be 18, while I think Jared will be 15?? Is that right?

Yep. And you're right, we could! But we also have to celebrate Jay's birthday on June 17.....lots of June birthdays!!

I did find the 2007 "unofficial" guide - only problem is that I want to go NOW!!!:rotfl2: (dead cockroach temper tantrum)

And don't forget mine on the 16th and John shares June 17 with Jay!!!

We'll be doing lots of celebrating I see!! :woohoo:

I know that feeling! :rotfl2: That's why I'm not going to visit the DL boards or look at the Guide until it's almost time to go!

(I think that dead cockroach is going to get a lot of use from us! :lmao: )

I couldn't wait for D-Land any longer...had to have my fix. But I also hadn't done the parks before OR after any of our cruises.

Still lurcking on this thread since the first post....Sam saw the ports on the West Bound PC crossing.....looks like that might be our 2008 event, depending on the quote....why do they make me wait until the 31st...I wanna know NOW....

If not, still thinking about June...

I wonder if I should call the credit card company - Yes, we really did authorize two deposits 4 weeks apart...:lmao: Money, you want to make sure we pay you :lmao:

HI everyone! We are planning our first Disney cruise for sometime in 2008. The most likely dates are this cruise or the Thanksgiving cruise. Living in CA, this one would be the easiest, but we really want to do the Carribean! It will all depend on pricing, Mexico-no airfare but expensive cruise, FL-airfare, but maybe(since its a holiday, it may cost just as much) less on the on the cruise price. We will hopefully be booking the Mexico cruise on the 31st depending on final price.

Hi Amy!! We have a few Disney Cruise Line veterans here....if you have any questions, we LOVE talking about DCL...ask away!!

And WELCOME! :welcome: I hope you decide to cruise with us, we're pretty fun people!!

Hi Amy!!!

Welcome - you'll like this group!!!

I'm hanging out a bit over here to help keep the thread on page 1. We really wanted to do this cruise with a few of our friends from the 5/27/06 Magic cruise :sad1: but because of pricing, it's looking like we'll meet up at DL post cruise plus spend a few days touring Southern Cal. My kids have never been to California - so, it'll be a great experience for them.

:welcome: samkj!

We're a small group right now, but that'll change soon I'm sure. :)

Like Stacey said, any questions, ask away.

Oh, and we're still holding out hope that Monica & family will join us on the cruise too!

Stacey, I had your color today - purple stirrups!! And that's all I'm going to say on that subject! :lmao:
