04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

We are using the transport below arranged by sdlong329 - I think there maybe a few places left if you have no luck filling the limo

We are a party of three doing the B2B, and will be getting to the Philadelphia airport via a friend's private LIMO. TRUST ME when I say, two weeks worth of luggage, for two different climates, for three people WILL NOT fit in the trunk of a typical LIMO. We had a similar situation when we had a party of four traveling on the DCL Panama Canal cruise. We stuffed the trunk (as well as the interior) of the LIMO with luggage ... even though it was luggage for a single (warm) climate.

The nice part of the deluxe motorcoach, is the separate (and seemingly, never ending) storage space under the seating area (accessed by the driver), from the side of the bus. :woohoo:

Steven (of Steven & Donna)

UPDATE: We've received approximately 25 prepaid reservations for our private, deluxe motorcoach transfer from DisneyLand ... DIRECT to San Pedro Port. With this private motorcoach, we will NOT have to go back to the airport, merely to reboard another shuttle to the port. This will save TIME AND MONEY for us all!

Since I need to make a non refundable payment to the bus line approximately one month prior to travel date, I am asking for paid reservations to be received (by me) no later than March 20th through March 27th. Depending on the number of reservations received, we may be able to accept additional reservations AFTER the aforementioned dates, pending availability of space.

Currently, we need another dozen or so passengers in order to make this a
financially viable option. Based upon response and private messages, I do not see any issues with this, but would like to avoid the potential onslaught of dozens of last minute reservations.

Payment can be made via personal check (PM for mailing address) at $15 per person. If you prefer to pay via PayPal (PM for PayPal address), the rate is $16 per person (PayPal fees are deducted from incoming payments). Should you have any questions, or plan to make reservations in the next few weeks, please contact us via Private Message.

Steven (of Steven & Donna)

This is great of you to arrange this,

Can I get you to send me a PM with the names please? I have a horrible memory and I use the PM system as a bit of a reminder and tracking system for these things. I HATE missing people's requests so the PM system works the best for me.

speaking of memory - I think I forgot to PM you! :rotfl2: I'll do it now.

Gallery 2 - second floor - Hollywood Gallery - moving images set the tone covering WD 1923 ariver in Hollywood to join Roy. 348 frame enlargements from Steamboat Willie:woohoo:
Gallery 4 - second floor - The Move to Features Gallery - devoeted to Snow White; next door in Gallery 5 Bambi, Fantasia and Pinocchio along with an animator's desk and multiplane camera.
Gallery 6 - second floor - The Toughest Period in My Whole Life Gallery - Film cliops, posters and other artifacts depcit challenges Disney faced in the
1940s. Animators went on strike and the Army housed soldiers in 1/2 of the studio. Disney also produced propaganda films & materials.
Gallery 7 - second floor - Postwar Production Gallery - Includes Peter Pan, Cinderela and an underwater camera invented for "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea".
Gallery 9 - first floor- The 1950s &1960s and Beyond Gallery- Amazing gallery that includes the Lilly Belle, a scale model train and a finely detailed modelt of Disneyland.
To me it looks like more that 2 hours for any of us Walt Disney Fans. :yay: Happy we are going on our own! Sue

Just booked my ExecuCar shuttle from the HoJo to LA Harbor for the 27th. Every extra thing I do to get ready for my extended DL/DCL holiday gets me more and more exicted

Hi Everyone

This is the list for free custom lanyards and name badges for everyone
in your cruise group. Please take a close look at your listing and PM
me if I've made a spelling error, left someone off, wrong cruise, or if you are no longer
going on one of these cruises. Please PM me if you would rather have a different
version of your name on the badge (nickname, etc.).

PLEASE REVIEW YOUR LISTING AND PM ME IF IT IS CORRECT!
A * before your listing means your have verified the names and you are good to go - you do not have to respond.

It's very important that I hear from people on the "not confirmed" list.
I don't want to leave anyone out and I want to make sure that the names are correct!
So if you are on the "not confirmed" part of the list, please let me know if the listing is correct.

Have you ever been on a cruise, and been seated at a table with someone who does not speak English ... with someone who does chooses not speak at all ... or someone who is rude or inconsiderate?

When we cruise, we usually seek others who wish to join us at the same dinner table. In doing so, we already know a little bit about each other when we sit down to dinner. Most of the time, we all have something in common ... especially since we are already on The DIS!

We did this on the 2010 EB TrasAtlantic, and has a table of 10 people. By the time we arrived for dinner, we already knew each other, and started to have fun immediately. To this day, we are Facebook friends with several of out T/A tablemates, and we have also made plans to meet at future Disney events (we are even meeting a couple from the Netherlands in Disneyland, prior to the REPO cruise).

Okay, so here's the scoop ...
1) We're a party of three ...
. H/W couple ... mid / late 40's
. travelling with my DSIL (late 20's), who sailed with us on the Magic in late 2009
2) We've all sailed various cruise lines, but prefer DCL
3) We're all avid Disney fans
4) We're not cruise snobs (we don't spend the evening discussing how to demand special treatment or attention)
5) We're not rude (we don't snap our fingers or bark our commands at the servers)

We would LOVE to have dinner with like minded people. Well behaved children of almost any age are always welcome ... especally if they LOVE Disney!

At the suggestion of DCL friends who recently sailed on the Wonder, we have taken the liberty of requesting server CESAR, and assistant server CARLO. Though we have never had either ... I am told they are WONDERful!

If you'd like to join us for second seating dinner (normal dining rotation), please let us know. There is an simple, easy process (before embarkation) involved to have DCL seat us together. DCL provides this service on a regular basis, and regularly accomodate most requests, for up to 8 guests at a table.

Steven (of Steven & Donna)

sdlong329 - You sound like wonderful dinner mates but we are doing early dining. Perhaps we will catch you another time. Our DD-10 is well behaved at dinner and does not like screaming/whining children at dinner even at Disney!

Alas I have mixed news. DD was accepted via audition to a great summer ballet program. Hooray! Which means we must save money so have downgraded our stateroom to save money. Boo-hoo. We are now in an 11C GTY. Boo-hoo. We still get to go! Hooray

Hey Steven & Donna,

This will be my DW & myself 4 & 5 cruise (counting the repo & Alaskan)
We are in our late / late 40's...ok we turn 50 this year, no kids/ ok / we are the kids...we are late dining as well.

We love Disney, we are DVC members, and soooooooooooo looking forward to this vacation. We paln on becoming pirates as well.
I am retired military after 25 yrs/ and love being home. We now reside in Virginia, so if you like, we would love to join you for dinner, well ok, one night we are going to PALO's, so don't take this to personal....lol
please let us know...

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

I would be happy to sleep on deck 10!
I also have a unique way of looking at accomodations on the ship. There are more than 300 million people in the US. Of those 300 million, only about 2,000 are on the ship at any one time. That means I *must* be happier than the 299+ million people who are not onboard! :cloud9:

Truth be told, *I* turn 50 as well ... shortly after the cruise.
DW and I are also *the kids* when we are onboard (our 23 year old son is more of an adult when we cruise ... but he is staying home this time).
My son is USMC, as was my brother, and late father.
We have a lot in common. I will send you a PM.
