Hello cruisers! It is with great sadness that we decided to cancel our cruise. DS started 6th grade and after a few weeks it is painfully obvious that cruising during the school year is not going to be a happening thing for us.

I'm sad you won't be going, Lisa, but I understand. We took homework for our boys to WDW when youngest DS was 6th grade, and he did ok, but oldest 8th grader really got the shaft - they changed assignments after we left and didn't give him credit for what he did do! We never did it again, either.

Hi Everyone!

First... let me apologize to everyone who has sent me PMs. I've replied to some, but not to all.

Next... without lengthly excuses, reasons, etc., let me just say there's been a lot going on in our household since I've last posted. BOTH this cruise and the Alaska cruise are now up in the air. We are still hoping things come together and are planning to that end.

That said... I will be getting all of the information everyone has sent me over to Bob so he can update the main roster with everyone's names and pictures. I will get our main page updated with numbers and additional helpful links.

Thanks for your understanding.

NOW... I'm off to begin catching up.

I thought of that, but if we get 40 people on the bus, it works out to just under $11 a person. That isn't bad ... The buses on the website look to have lots of luggage space under the bus too!

my wife and I are staying at the Anaheim Camelot Inn And Suites across the street from the Disney entrance before cruise to Vancouver. (23-27 April)
We'd be interested in two seats on that bus/van, please keep us posted on the progress.

We just scored a room at the Grand Californian for the three nights prior to sailing. We are excited!

Just finished catching up on the boards as we are just back from 14 days of "free" dining at Walt Disney World....welcome to the new cruisers and I'm sorry to see that some people ahve cancelled.

While we were at WDW, we upgraded our WDW annual passes to the Disney Premier Passport so now we have our tickets to Disneyland....and a 20% discount too!!!!

I did all the research and found for $5 more than what a 5 day park hopper ticket to Disneyland would cost for each of us, we could upgrade our WDW annual passes to the Disney Premier Passport and have unlimited access to WDW, DL, the water parks, DisneyQuest and one of the golf courses until August 3, 2011...it took some time to upgrade our passes as the CM at Guest relations at Epcot said that they do not see many Premier Passports. I did get questionned a couple of times by CM when we were entering the parks as to our tickets as many had not seen the Premier Passport before....

My Premier Passport also got a real workout during our trip too as I enjoyed the 20% merchadise discount....I even treated myself to not one, but two Dooney & Burke Disney purses....I couldn't decide between the white Sketch purse and the black purse with the coloured Mickey's on it...so got both...my rationale was that the white sketch purse would be my summer purse and the black purse my winter purse...I also picked up some KEWL Disney Parks windbreakers that folded up really small to use on this trip.

I also just finished totalling up all the meals and snacks we consumed on our "free" dining trip and discovered that the total was almost the amount we paid for our trip....although some of our meals were not as good as we had hoped (The California Grill was a disappointment)...we still decided to book another "free" dining trip for next September, this time staying at the POFQ.

Okay...off to catch up on the Alaska thread now...

Elaine! Congrats on scoring the Premier Pass! Sounds like Disney is pretty smart for offering "free dining!" I would love to see a pic of your D&B's. I'm glad you had a great trip!

Tammie...here is picture of my 2 D&B purses....they are my pride and joy....my coworkers laughed at me at lunch today when it started raining when we were walking back to the office...I started running to the office because I didn't want my sketch purse to get wet....LOL

Elaine - glad to hear that you had such a good time! I think we will be upgrading our passes either when we get new ones, or next time we are at Disneyland (next Sept for the 1/2 marathon). They seem to know more about them at DL.

Hi Everyone!

After several talks, we've decided to move ahead with this cruise!

We've booked our flight on SWA to LAX on 4/23. We were also able to snag a 1 BR at Disney's Grand Californian for our stay. Now we've got to see about excursions.

We are so EXCITED!!! Golden Gate Bridge, here we come! Just noticed there will be a full moon on Easter Sunday... love looking at the moon!

LOTS to do and little time.
