They should have a completely different server for Castaway Club perhaps..:confused3

I'm going to bed too. If I don't get a Palo booking, I know one of my friends will feed me....:lmao:

Are people trying to book excursions for the LA-Vancouver leg or the Alaska leg?

I just got in and was able to retrieve my reservation for Alaska no problem. But I also can't book excursions for it until Feb 2 so not sure if that is any help.

We are trying to book the Repo leg - it's the 105 day mark. The problem is with that cruise - I can pull up my other future cruises just fine.
 
I can pull up the cruise just fine, but when I go to click anything else it locks up.

I am going to bed.... try again tomorrow. Maybe it will be fixed

Ok I can pull up my reservation for the Repo leg too but I am not paid in full yet so nothing can be booked. But I can pull up my reservation. Oh and it will let me make a payment no problem apparently.
 
Just got home from Phoenix today to LOTS of snow and ice. Hopefully I won't fall asleep before 12 tonight so I can book my excursions since I have had very little sleep the last few days. But even if I don't get what I want - we are National Champs!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

My booking date is Jan 27th. This makes me nervous. Maybe they just opened up a new booking window for a ship or a popular cruise today or something? My friend who is taking the Dream in March got in today to do her ressies. Maybe that's it - they have another huge ship to add to the system and they didn't expand their server enough.

That's possible. I sent them a scathing email last night. I work in IT and if we had an outage like this, they would be yanking us out of bed instead of telling our users to call 'between 8 AM ET and 10 PM' :headache:

I got a little further this morning - at least it is giving me a 'Book' link. But i'm still getting the same error message :sad2:
 
I was just told by a DCL website person that they are working 'feverishly' on the problem (since yesterday) and that I should 'step away for awhile and try again later'. :headache:

He also said 'on the bright side, no one else can book either'. That's the bright side?

This is my first time as Gold so I'm really disappointed :sad2: I'm only booking 1 shore tour (we are on our own in SF) but I really wanted to book Palo brunch/dinner and a spa appointment or 2. :sad1:
 
Called DCL this morning at 8 am....was told they were advised that in order to be fair they are not booking any Palo reservations over the phone. I inquired as to an estimate as to when the website would be back up and running and the CM said they have been working on it all day and night and to just keep checking. He also told me that no one is able to book anything so hopefully the excursions and Palo reservations are available when the site come back up...gee thanks...

Decided to take the day off today...we had a bad snow storm last night and of course they didn't close the office....I have been out clearing the driveway since 5:30 and took a break to call DCL and now I don't want to go back out...but at least there isn't much more to clear. Hopefullt the site will be up and running soon.
 
I also just spoke with DCL. Thanks to this board at least I knew there was a problem!
The CM I spoke to at 8:15 said they do not have any ET yet. She appreciated me not blaiming her so all need to remember not to shoot the CM! Keep safe everyone who is dealing with the blizzard. Sue
 
We got snow last night, too....sadly I couldn't take the day off...too much to do. I do have my laptop at work with me (gotta love the ability to tether your smart-phone to your laptop and get an internet signal! :thumbsup2), though, and will be checking in periodically throughout the day to see if I can make our bookings.

Usually I would be freaking out by now....but Jason and I decided last night that if we don't get any of our excursions, we'll be fine and we'll just decide to do other things......we'll probably end up doing SF on our own and/or with Johanna anyway.....and most the other things we were looking at doing are zip line tours, whale watching, aquariums and butterfly gardens, etc. (We tend to like port adventures that are active in some way and/or that involve animals.) The truth is, however, that we've actually done ALL of those things before in on other vacations, so while they would be fun....none of them will end up being deal breakers for us.

Good luck to all of you trying to book excursions! Hope the site comes up soon. On this leg, we are not doing any Disney excursions, but I feel your pain.

To really be fair, DCL should select a new booking date for Gold. That way everyone has the same head start.

We work for IT in the State of NJ. If something doesn't work we are yanked out of bed and we get it going. If Disney knew they were having problems they could have thrown up an error message on the initial page telling folks that the booking window is unavailable, NOT have folks select book and have them clock only then to see the Error Message.

Instead of having everyone continue to try and push the system response to the max, a simple message about when to try back would help the programmers get their testing done and relieve everyone's frustrations at the same time. Of course, if they put a new booking window that would be helpful! My oh My... how frustrating!

That is a good idea about setting a new booking date for Gold! I'm working from home today so I have been able to check periodically, but it's a pain in the neck.

I also work in IT and I think I said earlier that we would have been yanked out of bed if we had an outage of this sort. Posting a note on their website or an accurate error message would have helped as well.

Good thing I'm not at work today - I get very cranky when I don't have my beauty sleep!
