'03 AP rates

This is great news. I am waiting on AP rates for our already booked Feb trip. I guess I will have to get up early on Monday and call in. I have CSR for $106.40 a night plus tax with a AAA discount but hoping to do better with an AP rate maybe $94 or $89 a night plus tax.

This is giving me hope for Aug rates. Maybe early spring?? Waiting with bated breath. (or is that baited??)

I'm sure I could look back through posts or old Mickey Monitors, but traditionally would this release of rates address times through end of March, 2003? That would be our earliest possible time for planning a new trip.......

I think it would probably only be for January 1 through mid-February, but...with Disney, you never know .

Please help! I am new to this and would love some information about AP and codes. Are these codes and AP rates only for annual pass holders? I am planning a trip in February and would love to know how I can save money on hotel rates. Thanks!

Yes, you can book the resort room before you have the AP. When checking in, you may be asked to show your AP or an AP voucher.

I just read on another thread that someone else was told they could book AP rates through MAY 03 TOMORROW!!! I'm going to get up early and give it a shot, just in case!

Disney releases "code rates" that are open to the general public. In my experience, they are comparable to the AP rates.

AP rates can be booked by anyone, but upon check-in you must present your AP (or an AP voucher, I believe) to receive the rate. So, you don't have to have the AP in hand to book the room at the AP rate.

As far as codes - keep an eye out here, on mousesavers.com, and in your local Sunday paper travel section. Then, with code in hand, you can call CRO and ask for availability at your choice of WDW resort using the given code (usually three letters).

When I called to see if I could get AP rates early this morning, CM told me rates were for 1/1-1/12. Anybody ever heard of such a short time period? Hope he was wrong!

I have never heard of such a short time frame either. I hope your CM was incorrect as we are looking for Feb 1st through the 6th.

According to Mousesavers, the AP rates to be released tomorrow are for 1/1 - 2/12

Ok spoke to a very nice CM this afternoon who checked for me and couldn't get the May rates into my ressie. She did tell me that they would be available 10/28. I said ok and thanks,

About 10 mintues later the same cast member called my home and said she had just done a new ressie and was able to use the rate and tried again for me.

Unfortunately, she said that the only Jan - Feb rates must have been opened on the computer as of today (10/27). She told me to call back tomorrow at 7am and I would get the AP rate for my dates of May9 - May 18.

Lets all say a prayer.

DisneyFreaks, no problem! I am going to ask for the AP rate but also mention the code, hopefully the CM will be able to help me book whichever is cheaper.

As of this time Mousesavers.com has the following update on their site.

Annual Passholder rates for 1/1/03-2/12/03 will be available tomorrow 10/28/02 - check back!

Just checked it today -nothing available beyond 2/12. We arrive 2/16!!! I still have a AAA rate but was hoping for more....
