03/08/09 4-night Disney Wonder!!!!

I think the date(s) is up to each of us- little surprises when you get back to your cabin. :)

We are mostly packed and are leaving dark and early tomorrow morning for two nights at WDW before the cruise. YIPPEE!! :yay:

Hope you all have safe travels! :flower3:

Everybody be careful and lets get ready to party Disney style!!:rotfl:

I only live an hour away from the port so I won't be leaving until Sunday morning! Everyone have a safe trip to WDW and the port see you on the WONDER!!

Well the trip is done and already back into the swing of reality. DD had to go back to school and take exams today! YUK!:sad2:
Hope all had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful weather we had! Thanks for all the fun stuff with the FE! First time we did it and now we have som any great ideas for the future! Can't wait to bounce back in the Fall with a 3 day! :woohoo:

We are back and exhausted, but it was a great trip. Sorry I didn't get to meet any of you. We were on the go all the time. This was the first time my girls were in the teen club and they loved it! I wasn't sure if they would, but they said it was the best cruise ever (this was our 9th).

We booked again for this same cruise next year, but not sure if we will keep it or move it one year (depends on finances, it may take a couple years to save up).

For everyone doing the 3 day bounce back....have fun!

I just wanted to say a big, huge THANK YOU to everyone who did the FE, my kids loved it! Soooo much fun! I'm sorry we didn't get to meet anyone, including the two other families staying on our hall (coffeeguy and Bob I think...), but we had a ball! The water was freezing, but otherwise, couldn't have asked for better weather! Hubby and I WON:cool1: the "match your mate" game the first night and I can't tell you how many people came up to us during the cruise to congratulate us!:lmao: If anyone is wondering what the "razul" spa experience is, let me know and I'll explain...not fit for a family board! Too bad hubby was watching a sick kid and I had to enjoy it on my own..more fun with two for sure! I was also a little hung the next morning for the dolphin swim at Nassau, but the freezing cold water did help a bit with that issue. Thank you so much to everyone here for all the info, advice, hand holding, etc. to make our first cruise such a wonderful experience!

Big thanks to all for the FE gifts! Next time we will be sure to put all ours in neat little bags instead of loosy goosy! :thumbsup2

Thanks again to Bob for organizing the FE. Nice to meet you both on the Segway tour too! Learned a couple funny new phrases there- 'stop the segway', 'spirit fingers', etc- good times!

We watched 'Match Your Mate' after dinner at Palo. It was great! Congrats! I thought the couple that had been married 24/27 years was pretty great too! Oh, and each time we saw the newly weds on the ship, I had to fight the giggles :rotfl:

We also had the best table mates we could have asked for. Great trip!

We can't wait to go on another cruise! We're hooked! pirate:

So how was the water temp at CC?

The water was pretty chilly. We went on the kayaking tour and it was not too bad to walk around in at the beach there. We did some snorkeling too, but it was a bit too chilly for me- but didn't stop DH!

I'm still glowing from our cruise.

My 12 year old son said he liked the cruise better than WDW!!! I was stunned to hear that since he loves roller coaster rides. He made fast friends with some other 12 year old boys throughout the country and always wanted to be in the Kids club with them. So he did.

Thank you for the the person (I think it was wbrabbit dad) for the rubber duckies left at my door. My three year old son still plays with them.

I loved the musicals!! Especially Toy Story, the service, the food, the many, many activities, sail away party, farewell party, characters everywhere, family disco dancing, that island -- WOW. Since we had inside cabins I didn't see Castaway Cay until we got to Beach Blanket buffet for breakfast and the first words out of my mouth was "OH MY GOD!!!!" when I saw Castaway Cay it was like the first time you saw Cinderella's castle. Just so beautiful.

All my 4 kids and DH went in the water and they swam and snorkeled all day long.

I"m seriously thinking about the $99 offer for Fall time. I had such a good cruise.

We just booked an outstanding deal for the 7 night Eastern w/ Tortola - August 15, 09! Yippee!!!:yay:

I"m seriously thinking about the $99 offer for Fall time. I had such a good cruise.

I have been thinking over the $99 deal versus going next spring break (we booked for next spring break). The thing about the fall is the weather. This last one was our 9th Disney Cruise, and many of them had been in the fall. When we first started, the weather then was pretty good, but the past few years there have been a lot of hurricanes. Once we were on the Magic when hurricane Jeanne came and they had to let us off the ship on Friday night, bus us to the Dolphin at WDW for the night. During that trip I spent 3 of the days in my cabin sea sick. Another year, wasn't as bad, but I was still in my cabin 2 days sea sick. Now those were on the 7 day Magic and it may not be so bad on the 3 night since you are docked each day (if you are lucky enough to dock at CC....on one of our fall cruises the weather was too bad to dock and we missed the island).

We have cruised in March, Sept, and Dec. and of those March has the BEST weather, and this last one we were all on was the absolute best weather of any of the 9 cruises I had been on.

So I am only telling you this because I want you to consider the weather in your decision. If I lived close enough to drive, I would do the $99 deal in a heart beat! But to get there we would have to pay around $800 in transportation, stay in a hotel the night before ($100), rent a car to and from the airport ($100)...so that adds in another $1000 to the cost of the discounted cruise.

Now I will say if you could do the on on Dec. 17th (we went on Dec. 19th a few years ago), the ship is BEAUTIFUL when it is decorated for Christmas, even CC is decorated. They have special Christmas stuff (like Mrs. Clause reading to the kids in the lobby and making gingerbread houses). There isn't the problem with hurricanes then, but the weather is cool (not cold, but cool, especially at night). At CC I saw a woman with a winter coat and that cracked me up (it wasn't that cold). We did the kayak tour at CC during that trip and the weather was perfect for that!

Anyway....sorry...I am rambling, but I too have been sitting here thinking over the $99 deal and trying to figure out if we should do that or just wait and go again in March for spring break.

thank you Westjones, I really appreciate your experienced input. I will it into consideration.

Hi- I don't think we received a bounce back certificate...Was that something I should have picked up on the ship?

Yes, Andree --- I received it in my farewell papers, along with survey, tips enveloples, etc. There was a code too for the deal .....I can give it to you if you'd like.

I will look through all our papers again to make sure I didn't overlook it. That would be great if you could pass on the code! I imagine if we are not allowed to use it- it won't work. :) No harm trying- tho I feel like a greedy cruise monster!

Thanks so much!
