As some of you may have noticed, I’ve been tinkering with a new “thread prefix” option here on the Resorts Board.

Let me know if you have any thoughts or feedback, either here or via PM.

:thanks:

Yes I saw it start, and I personally find the prefixes annoying and they clutter up the thread list as I scan unread items. If if is important to a majority of DIS users, is it something that we could set in our profile setting? I doubt it but I wanted to ask.

Dave

I like it for quickly identifying the main resort threads, but I don't know that it needs to be on all the threads. :goodvibes
I agree with this. I like the Resort Thread label, especially now that I’ve found tapping it brings up a list of all the resort threads. Sometimes I’m looking for one that hasn’t been active recently, and that list means I can find it quickly. But the other thread labels aren’t useful to me at all and do clutter up the forum. Maybe try with only the Resort Thread label and none of the others?

This! Barring putting a section at the top like the one for discounts, etc. that's just the resort threads, I like having them labeled. Others I don't think we need.

I really like them. When I'm looking for something specific, they help index what I'm looking for. If I'm just scanning the boards, they don't matter to me as much, but I like having them. Good idea!

Sorry, but I also find it annoying. I'm pretty resistant to change though.

I don’t mind it and think it will be useful for some topics but def not all

I think it adds an unnecessary feature. What I would rather have is a hover over the subject line that gives a bit more details as to what the subject really is. So it would display the first few sentences of the first post. So often the subject isn’t clear to the post and you click in to read and then realize you don’t want to be there and have to back out

I’d rather not see it, but as a compromise, it would be ok I guess if it’s just used to mark the Resort Information threads only, please.

It definitely makes it more difficult to see if it’s a thread I looked at before. Personally, I didn’t find it hard to see the resort threads before si century were all capped. But now I’m finding it more difficult to see what I want to look at. Prefer the previous way threads were done without the “prefix”.

I don't mind the prefixes for the Resort threads since sometimes they fall to the second page, but they make it more time consuming when reading the titles of other threads so I'd rather not have them on those.

I agree with @Dave006 and several others above. Seems to be more clutter. The all caps for the resort threads always seemed very sufficient to me to quickly locate the resort threads.

As someone that rotates resorts to stay at I look at all the resort threads. That tapping feature is awesome and I will use that often!

LOVE THIS!
