Nothing on the horizon per our weather folks in Tampa. Those of you who track this - anything on the horizon for this week/next week? From what I gather it looks pretty clear for hurricanes these days right...?
Last night WDW area had one of the strongest thunder & lightning and rainstorms . I need to listen to the weather channel cause I wonder how many inches of rain poured down .
I’m just saying to myself it’s too far out to believe this (22-27!!)Well I have cloudy humid with morning showers and real feels in the mid 90s every day 9/20 to 9/27![]()
i get there the 27th, hoping it cools down a bit thenWell I have cloudy humid with morning showers and real feels in the mid 90s every day 9/20 to 9/27![]()
Mine says if it forms and gets strong it will curve and not be an issue for Florida. But if it stays weak it could fizzle out. What do your favorite meteorologists think of the current “red blob” in the Atlantic? I don’t have a reliable one to check with.

Always need to watch but seems like most expect a fizzle out and/or turn away from the U.S. I tend to watch Eric Burris in Central FL and Dennis Phillips based near Tampa. What do your favorite meteorologists think of the current “red blob” in the Atlantic? I don’t have a reliable one to check with.

September = rain. If you’re hoping to avoid rain, you may wish to push your trip deeper into the year for your chances to be better. The last time we visited in September (20+ years ago) it rained every single day all day. Like, I'm talking a monsoon every morning as we sat in our car in the parking lots deciding whether or not we should venture in. We said that was our last September trip.
Well, here we are getting ready to make the trek down and we are patiently watching the forecast change by the hour.![]()
Of the models that go out far enough, they all show it turning north in the Atlantic, between the 22nd and 24th. But things can change drastically from model run to the next, so it does bear watching. What do your favorite meteorologists think of the current “red blob” in the Atlantic? If you’re planning to go to an Eat to the Beat concert, be aware that rain poncho is advisable as umbrellas are not allowed in the theater.Oh yes, I know
But…it’s a very big anniversary and we wanted to celebrate on the actual week so we took our chances this time around.
