“Frozen Ever After Dessert Party” with Fireworks Viewing and After-Close Attraction Ride

We did this the Plaza Garden party during this past week. We really enjoyed it.

Fireworks were at 9. We showed up at 8 and it was plenty of time to eat, use the restroom and still make it over to the viewing area with plenty of time to spare. So don't feel you have to show up too early unless you really want a lot of time to eat.

No worries, you'll all be seated next to each other. To accommodate you, they may seat you at 3 tables, 4, 4 and 3 or they'll seat you at 2 tables, 5 and 6 depending on the make up of your party. And if you're not happy with the arrangement at check-in, they'll bend over backwards to make you happy.

ETA, if it's indoors, they'll accommodate you to your satisfaction.

We will be there thanksgiving week. My kids have never seen Illuminations and I'd like us to see it without having to scope out a spot an hour in advance. As Josh indicated, I figured this saves us Illuminations and FEA fast passes. Am I nuts to book this party just for the ease of not having to worry about getting a spot for Illuminations? It will be a very busy week in the parks and that's why I booked it - now I'm wondering if it is was overkill to avoid the hassle.

What a wacky night. The party was moved indoors due to a weather forecast that showed rain at 8pm. It was a beautiful night and it didn't rain at all, strike one. The normal location when the party is moved indoors is Norway, but because they had booked a private party there before the FEA party came along, they had to honor the contract. The FEA party took place in the black hole known as the World Showplace, strike two. Once everyone was escorted into the viewing area from the World Showplace, a number of non party guests thought they could, and some did, crash the VIP viewing area. Really, Security had to be called, strike three. The wind was blowing directly towards the viewing area, strike four. Not exactly a great night for the party guests.

There was some grumbling because it was a long walk from the World Showplace to the viewing area, which it sorta is. And one woman was very angry that her kids couldn't see over the hedge. Also, it was moved inside due to expected rain and not one drop fell.

By the time I'm there for another party, hopefully the chance of rain will be less and guests will be able to experience it as it should be.

I was at party last night as well and in addition to your 4"strikes" there was another...those attempting to return to their "monorail" resorts at park closing got to park exit only to discover that the monorail to the TTC where we have to catch the connecting "resort" monorail was not running so guests were re-directed to bus area and had to take buses over to TTC where we were let off at far end of TTC. A group of us went to the other end of the TTC and followed path back to Poly. Others trying to return to CR and GF had to wait in long lines for resort monorail.

In spite of the difficulty at end of evening most people just went with the flow and I heard very little complaining!
I did feel bad for the CM who was trying so hard to get a non-party guest who was trying to push his way up to the railing beside me to leave. He repeatedly asked him numerous times to leave and the man was just ignoring him he finally told the guy he was calling security and the guy left.

It was a challenge having to navigate an ECV through people getting over to the viewing area but people were so friendly and despite all the other issues that took place last night it was a great experience!

You're welcome and thanks for taking the night in stride. I think that guest was confused and maybe wasn't understanding what I was telling him. I'm thinking he thought he was in the FP viewing area.

I'd be more inclined to think that he found an empty spot, and thought he was entitled to take it.

Seating is preassigned, so you don't need to line up early, but if you want to squeeze every last minute out of the party, arrive 15 to 30 minutes before the advertised start time because they usually open 15 minutes early.

Mexico side. If there's a possibility of rain during the party, the party will take place indoors at the Norway pavilion.

Yep, dates posted but cannot book yet. Hopefully will be able to book by tomorrow and I will try to snag 12/28.

I wonder if there will be another party for 12/30 and 12/31? Or if they will add more FEA party dates?

Don't know which rock I was under, but I just heard about this dessert party. Tried for next month, but the only night we're there that the party is offered is full. So I'll try for February but those dates aren't up yet. I have done the Star Wars Galactic dessert party, and we have the HEA dessert party booked for next month so I am not exactly treat-less.
