I just wanted to pop in and say Hello. We have decided to take part in this wonderful cruise once again.

My name is Tonya and I will be sailing with my DH Trey. This is our 6th cruise and our 4th time going this time of year. We can hardly wait.

We have been lucky enough to said with Gailyn and Jeff before and look forward to meeting all of you.

Welcome Tonya! Good to see some more experienced cruisers joining us. DH & I are 1st time cruisers and it's really been helpful to have people who know what they are doing.

I booked our towncar yesterday...one more thing checked off the list.

Patiently waiting to be able to fill out the DCL forms online.

My fish extender is very pathetic...but it does the job! (I cannot sew for the life of me, and just threw something together last year.) Just looked at the ones on Etsy...very cute!

Finally booked airfare - tickets went down to $266 non stop so we jumped on it! I feel much better that tickets are crossed off my list!!

I can't wait for the passporter to come so we can read about excursions.

Is anyone nervous about getting off in Mexico?? Have there been any problems in Cancun????

Geez - we are leaving on Thursday for our Med Cruise and we STILL don't have ours. WE really wanted to have it to plan this trip but I'd like to at least have it to read on the flight to barcelona!

You are too kind! We really had no idea when we ordered it a year ago that we wouldn't have it for our cruise. I kept thinking that surely it will come soon and we kept getting the updates but by then it became a war of wills - we WILL get it! Read the online version and actually was pretty disappointed at the info provided for the Med Ports and excursions. Gonna write this one off as a bad investment and not get sucked in the next round.

I'm sorry to hear that about the Med ports. I hadn't looked at those. If you change your mind by Monday just let me know. Enjoy your Med cruise!

Did they do a specia e-book on the med ports? I thought I read that somewhere, but could have just made that up as I wasn't paying 100% attention as it didn't affect me.

I know my DH is nervous about getting off the ship in Mexico (we go to Cozumel, not Cancun). That is one of the reasons we aren't sure about booking any excursions there. However, that is the port that DS is most excited about, he has this thing about Mexico, so I'd love to at least get off the ship for a bit, just for him.

Jenny & Scott - what car service did you use? I currently have a reservation with FL Tours (used them last year), but am thinking of calling around to find one that will pick us up earlier from the Hyatt...

I certainly don't want to get anyone worked up over Mexico, but knowledge is good and this is a link to the State Department's travel warning on Mexico: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_4755.html I've always heard the worst areas are the border towns, which is pretty much what this says, but you can read it for yourself. Hope this helps.

They did but the port info was weak and excursion info non existent for the most part.

Darcy - We are trying Tiffany again. Used them 10 years ago for our first trip there and had a good experience. Used Happy Limo last year, no complaint with them, just didn't feel the driver was as good. Haven't used FL Tours.

Would love to do a Med cruise I hope you have a wonderful time despite the Passporter not being too helpful. We are hoping we might be able to swing a med cruise next year.

Haven't looked into any of the Mexico issues. Have friends that just came back from a 7 night trip to one of the resorts and they had no issues whatsoever. I'm sure we will do one of the excursions, but might go with a DCL excursion for that port. I agree the border towns are particularly dangerous, and the news in Texas pretty much confirms that on a regular basis.

Good news on both of these items! You will have a blast on the cruise, and I'm sure you can find some details elsewhere, but I agree, not the greatest attitude for those that ARE going to those ports!

I started working on my FE gifts this evening! I'm not a crafty person in the slightest sense, but actually have something that is turning out. Now, how long this will take is anyone's guess!

And my Passporter has not arrived, but I'm taking some time off work starting Friday, so if I get it anytime this week, I'll have something to do instead of house or yard work!
