I booked this cruise in January 2009 - it's crazy how fast the time is going by this year! :

I hear you - our first cruise (December 2009) was booked in June of 2008, so that was a LONG countdown. This one we booked while on board, so a countdown of less than a year has been great!

Very excited to be under the 200 day mark today as well....

Congrats! I have my passport renewal stuff right here ready to go, just need to write the check and get to the USPS (I think today before I pick up the kids from school). That is the last thing on my list (I think!).

Next up for planning is fun stuff..excursions, etc. They had a great excursion listed in the Passporter for Cozumel, but the kids have to be 10 and mine will be just shy of 9 when we go.

We got our passport photos done this week. Luckily I went back and re-read the guidelines for the UK passport - no smiling!!!! I had to go and get mine redone as I had my best cheesiest smile going on! I need to get them in the mail, hopefully today. Need to go back and reread everything just to make sure I have it right.

It was a 3 part excursion...kayaking, maybe hiking and then zip line. It's the zip line I think that is the age 10 minimum. My DS has wanted to do that for 2 years since we saw it on a Travel Channel special with Samantha Brown on RCCL.

Ahh....OK ... yeah, the zip line would be too much for this "feet on the ground" kinda gal! I am so NOT good with any type of heights!! Still, bummer that he still isn't old enough but maybe next time...right MOM!??

Didn't get our passports in the mail either...got to go through them tomorrow. I don't know where the time goes on the weekend!

I think my FE should be delivered on Monday. I ended up buying one from Gradysmom off Ebay I should have been motivated to do my own...but...I wasn't Looking forward to getting it

Wow! You guys have been busy. I've been ready to go for months...just waiting for my booking window to open up for excursions and Palo. I need something to do!!! LOL

Cindy - good job on being so organized! When can you make your Palo ADR's? As we are first time cruisers we have to wait a while - I hope that there is still something available by then.

My FE came today from Gradysmommy and I love it! She really does a great job on them. It's got me all excited and ready to go!

Passports sent off today!

(IM)patiently waiting for my ADR window to open on Monday for the land part of our trip.

I mailed my passport renewal today! Finally got that off my list.

So, now I am just in waiting mode til 90 days out to (1) pay and (2) make reservations for Palo and any excursions we may want.

In my real life, work is crazy and I'm trying to finish a digital photo book for my parents' 50th anniversary...all photos of them with their 4 grandkids. Of course, I seem to have more photos of my kids than my sister does of her, so hoping she can upload a few more so it's not so unbalanced. Everyone will be here on Sunday for a quick celebration between my nephew's soccer game and my DS's baseball game, and we will take a photo of mom & dad to use for the cover. We aren't "officially" celebrating until after school get our (aka when sports are over) so we can all go out to dinner...so that will give me time to get the photo book done, ordered and shipped.

Darcy - Great minds think alike! Now we can both check passports off our list. I've done a couple of albums for my Mum before and they take quite a bit of work to get all the photos and then upload them and arrange them - good luck with that.

I'm sure everyone is busy with end of school year stuff. I think the kids down here get out right after Memorial Day weekend - sometime that week anyway.

Hey Jenny - I usually use Picaboo for my digital albums, but had a coupon for a free book from shutterfly (got it at Target) and actually their site is REALLY easy to use! They have a "storyboard" where you can just drag and drop your photos per page and they choose a layout for you. Then, you can go back and change the layout (which I did), but it was way easier than trying to figure out the # of photos and then layout per page.

We don't get out of school until mid-June here...but still, it's right around the corner!

Off to finish cleaning as the family is coming over on Sunday to celebrate the 50th anniversary....

Darcy - I've only ever used mypublisher (because I had coupons or discount codes) and they have the same type of deal but I think you have to chose the layout first and then just drag and drop but you can change the layout per page if you need to. It's still a lot of work to organize which photos you want to use etc! LOL Hope the 50th Anniversary celebrations are fun on Sunday!

My pre-cruise trip ADR window opens on Monday - keep fingers and toes crossed for me. If I get Le Celier there will be MAJOR celebration I've NEVER managed to get it in the past.

I'm doing the happy dance today As I managed to get all the ADR's that I wanted. This is the first trip where I've been able to get Le Cellier, super-excited to finally get to eat there!
