ºoº "Epcot's Candlelight Processional 2005 F.A.Q. & Information,let's share our info.

I'm only going to be at WDW for 5 nights. I was planning to see the Candlelight Processional on the last night, 12/22, with dinner at the Biergarten. Should I plan to also do the tree lighting and Illuminations that night or would it be better to spread this over 2 nights? It is just DD11 and I. Also, I wasn't sure which CP show to attend, the 6:45 or the 8:15. (If doing the 6:45, I imagine we'd have to schedule this on a different night than the tree lighting.) Is one of the shows likely to be less crowded? Any advice? Thanks.

What replacement? I've not heard anything about Gary Sinise not being there for the CP? Where did you hear that? Can anyone else confirm this?

Thanks!

You could do the tree lighting at 6pm, CP at 8:15 (or try to hoof it and make the 6:45) and then Illuminations at 9:30. RaySharpton had some good advice somewhere in this thread about taking the boat launch from the tree lighting to Germany in hopes of catching the 6:45 show.

This has been a most helpful thread. Best of luck tomorrow to all my fellow CP-goers! May all your Christmas wishes come true.

Hi,

i live in Seattle, so it looks like i will be getting up way before the sun to make ressies for the CP. I do have one question:

If you buy a package, is it necessary to get there early at all?

Does this event usually sell out? Just in case i am not up at 3:45 am!

thanks,

Amee

I don't think the CP dinner pkgs will sell out tomorrow, but if you have a specific dinner time you really really need, then call early. Otherwise, enjoy your sleep.

Just needed to here one person's opinion.....i think i will sleep in a little.

thanks!

DebbieB....thanks! I should have just checked there myself. Does anyone know why Gary Sinise isn't going to do the CP? I checked allearsnet.com and he's been listed as a narrator for about the past 5 years. Any idea who might be doing CP for those dates, Dec. 22 - 27?

Thanks again!

Surprised myself! Called in @ 6:59 and got right through to a CM! Booked our CP pkg for 12/19 8:15 pm with Biergarten dinner @ 5:45 pm. Something I found interesting -- when the CM was reading the rules (non-smoking, rain or shine.....) he said "you may pick up your package at your resort guest services". Yippee!!!!

I'm still on hold...I called at 6:59 as well, you were so lucky! I'm trying for Dec. 10 for LeCellier...wish me luck! been on hold for about 10 mins. now.

Congrats for you! I'm still on hold...dialed in at 5:59am CST...got through and 12 minutes later I'm still waiting....at least I will only have to make one ADR package since we don't know who will be replacing Gary Sinise...I'll just wait on that date.

Yep, I got the same message (pick-up tix 7 days in advance at resort Guest Services) when I reserved 12/24 5:00 pm show. Got Alfredo's at 7:30 which was the earliest seating available. Was hoping for something a little earlier but maybe will work out better since we might squeeze in the tree lighting.

Me, too! 5:59 a.m. here (had just flipped over) and they picked up first thing!

Was my CM's first CP package to book - took some time because she entered it as 12/11 first instead of 12/1, but we're all set now. 12/1 for the 8:15 show, dining at Alfredo's at 5:00 p.m. for 5 adults.

Things I learned:
-48-hour cancellation policy
-5:00 is the earliest dining seating they will allow for the 8:15 show
-And yes, you can pick-up your CP package documents from either your resort guest services, or the Epcot CP pick-up station to the right of Epcot's main entrance (towards the bus depot) up to 7 days in advance

HTH as everyone's planning/calling!

I also dialed in @ 6:59 and by 7:04 had my AR for 12/9 dinner @ LeCelier @ 5:30pm Party of 6 for the 8:15 show...........YAHOO!!!! Now I'm hoping it's that easy for the rest of AR's coming up next month. Good Luck everyone on getting your times, dates and dinners.

I got right through at 3:59 (PST). Made ressies for 12/7 for the 8:15 show, eating at LeCellier. My problem is, the latest time that they had for a party of 2 was 4:10. Hopefully they will open up later times as the event get's closer.
