ª"˜ª¤.¸Official Team May 2014 Thread!¸.¤ª˜"ª

We decided to use the current promotion to upgrade our stay. We have gone from Little Mermaid room at AoA to standard room at Wilderness Lodge! It was an extra $600 from what we were paying to stay at AoA, but still a $640 savings from what it would have been without the discount. With two kids ages 5 and 4 we'll be spending most of our time at MK, including BBB prior to park opening, so we decided the convenience would be worth it. Plus the kids will love having a water slide at the pool and DH and I will enjoy a queen bed vs a double. So excited about our first family trip to WDW!! It will be here before we know it!

I would like to join....
We are booked for 5/11-5/17 at the Wilderness Lodge. We are so excited!! :cheer2:

We are doing a 4 night on the Disney Dream May 18th and then checking into Wilderness Lodge on May 22nd to the 26th. VERY excited about this upcoming trip, aren't we all though?:lmao:

Wilderness Lodge seems popular! Lol.

I've only ever stood in the Foyer, it does look nice though. I'd love to stay there one day. :cloud9:

Just booked our trip to POR from 5/26-6/2! Our second Disney trip and our first onsite!

Yay! Added :)

SSR with my amazing parents and manfriend May 22-30! My parent's and my 20+ trip to WDW, manfriend's first! Can't wait :)

4 months from today till you reach SSR!! Get excited!! hehe :thumbsup2

5/4-5/10 staying at All-Star Music. My 5th trip, my husband's 2nd, and our two daughters' first trip! They are 5 and 8. My mom, step-dad, step-brother, sister-in-law and their 3 kids are coming as well! So excited!!!

Oh my! Daughters first time!!! I can't imagine how excited they are! My two daughters 5 and 2 already started packing for the May trip lol. :woohoo:
I love that you have so many people going! You'll have to keep us posted as to how that goes! Also your the first to sign up in the All Star music section! Congrats!!!! :good vibes

Please update us to May 25 - June 5!!

OmG you added two more days!! How exciting!! Changes made! :yay:

We switched resorts, again. We're now at CB May 3-10. I wanted to add an extra day and there were no rooms available at POR for the 9th so I ended up moving so CB. This works ok because were doing the EE5K and CB is a host resort. I was really looking forward to POR though.

We've never stayed at CB but would like to one day. You'll have to let us know how you liked it. Changes made pirate:

I decided today to change my December trip to May so I'll be going sooner! :cool1:
The May discounts were just too tempting to resist!!

May 11 - May 13: Contemporary Resort
May 14 - May 17: Port Orleans Riverside

Now I can attend both Epcot Flower & Garden and Star Wars weekends!

Smart planning! Hopefully you can still go in December too! I wonder what kind of food they will have for the Flower and Garden? I am a geek and can't hardly wait for SSW!! I hope they have the Darth Vader peanut butter cupcake. (DROOLS) Added :darth:

We've updated too!!

May 25 Animal Kingdom Lodge
May 26-June 5 Pop Century

Nice!!! I think I saw you comment on FB with what you have planned so far. Might I saw we are uber jealous of your dinning places. I want to get deluxe dinning but I think its a waste with a 5 year old and a 2 year old. The wife and I were talking about it and we think we would do it when the girls get older and have a better palate for tastes. Not just your usual Mac and Cheese, pizza, chicken nuggets, etc, etc.... LOL Changes made :jester:

Just booked the Beach Club May 3-10th. First stay at a deluxe

Still looking for a deal on flights.

Heyooooo! I was looking at the planning section and thought about you. and Ironically you went ahead and posted that your staying at one of my favorite deluxe places. BEACH CLUB!! lol love it. I'm excited for you! Added. :beach:

AKV 5/17-5/24 :cool1::cool1:

Yay for 8 days of bliss!! Added! ;)

What an awesome upgrade!!! Wilderness Lodge is so big and epic! Make sure you are able to take the kids to back area where the stables are. Back in that section the kids are allowed to pet horses and ride Cinderella's carriage horse! our youngest daughter did and loved it!!! (PS its $5) :cheer2:
Below is pic from the horse ride.

Yet another add to WL!! I feel like this is becoming repetitive! lol Added! :thumbsup2

HEHEHEHE :lmao::duck::rolleyes1 Don't laugh at me, but I changed up again. Last time though, I PROMISE!!!!

May 24-offsite we would drive this day regardless, but didn't want to drive part way knowing we were that close, so we decided to go ahead and just drive all the way
May 25 - June 5 Pop Century
Then on June 5th we will surprise our son with one night at AKL. Then come home on the 6th.

I figure we obtained the money, and this WILL be our last trip for probably 2-3 years, so why not make the most of it. ::yes::

I can totally see where you are coming from with the DxDP. We did it in 2011, and didn't feel like we got our money's worth, but we didn't do any 2 serving restaurants, and we left about 4 or 5 unused. My husband and I looked at it again and decided to try again. More than anything, we like the convenience of having everything paid for and not having to worry about it.

Also, I started a pre trip report of sorts. It doesn't have a lot of pics, cause the photo sites are agitating and get on my nerves. But here is the link if anyone is interested.

grrrrr.. lol jk jk I made the changes! Look forward to seeing the trip reports!!

We're a split stay now!! After crunching the numbers and weighing whether we wanted to move three times instead of two... We'll be at CSR in a standard view from 5/6 to 5/10 which is our pool day... Then halfway thru the 10th we'll move to AKL until the 13th... In a savannah view! Yay! Then to finish the trip... We are going to RPR and the dark side for the 13th and 14th! Whew! Getting soooo excited!

I got our Mickey thumb drive a couple weeks ago, and then I just got the mailer only with no thumb drive for the room only portion of the trip... I love Mickey Mail!

Flights went down a little ($585, the best I have seen it) so I booked!

Disney here I come!!:cheer2:

Time to redeem my airmiles for my park tickets so I can book FP+!

The Wilderness Lodge is wonderful, I am sure you will love it. We stayed there for the first time in February / M2013, loved it so much we changed our October / November trip to the Wilderness. We then changed our May 14 trip from the Boardwalk back to, yup, the Wilderness... there is something utterly enchanting about then hotel, its relatively tiny for a Disney resort but feels very secluded and hidden with a great walk available over to Fort Wilderness. But for convenience its fabulous, you're on a boat and over to the Magic Kingdom in minutes. so, yeah, kinda love it. the staff are fantastic too, real sweethearts who just can't do enough to help. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do :upsidedow

Booked May 19th-24th at CSR :) SO EXCITED. I just need to book flights (Uhh.) and purchase park tickets (Uhhhhh. Baby steps?)

Loving the promotion and with an Orbitz promo code, was able to let us move up from a Value to moderate :) (You can stay at the Waldorf Astoria for less than a usual stay at a moderate. :lmao: but you can't beat on property I suppose!) :cool1:

Just swtiched the night before our cruise (May 17th) from Pop to Beach Club Villas in a 2BR. Puts us closer to SWW activities! Can't wait for the nice weather it's 3 degrees here right now.

Every time I see my ticker it gives me a rush of excitement. Seeing as we're all going at similar times what 3 things are you all looking forward to most?

For me it's SWW, F&G festival and riding Expedition Everest again.

We've never done SWW or F&G before, what are the best ways to experience these?

We plan to do 2 days at HS. Should I make 1 day during the week to get the other stuff in HS done the 1 weekend day to enjoy sww or does it not matter?

Yes, especially because the crowds for SWW is very large and you won't be able to do a lot. It's a very wise choice to go plan a day at HS when SWW isn't active.

We changed our reservation to the Wilderness Lodge- woods view room. We've decided to put our house on the market in May and purchase a new home. Changing resorts will save us right at $1200. I will definitely miss being on the monorail but we will probably need that extra 1200 bucks for something else.

It's always nice to save money, and I think that makes sense. We're also planning to put our house on the market (potentially in May) and move before the next school year. Yikes! :scared1:

ok, great. ill do the 1 day at hs in the week then and 1 on the weekend for sww. also would it be best for my DS to do JTA when we go during the weekday?

Just 3? ;)

I'll be there too early for SWW (:( ), but I'm looking forward to my first F&G festival, riding ToT again, and actually having the guts to go on the RnRc :D

I approve of the change. $1200 is a lot of money. Great decision.::yes::
