but I am bursting to "share" and we've decided to wait to tell family and friends so thought maybe I could tell all of you!:flower3:

We are adopting a daughter from Haiti :lovestruc, just started the process on Tuesday this week. We've been considering this for several years, but just started seriously thinking/praying about this since early April. God has blessed our family the last couple years and we feel he has put Haiti in our hearts for a very specific reason. We are stepping forward in faith that there is a little girl who will become part of our family...so excited...and a bit nervous. Haiti is not the easiest place to adopt from, their system is a bit unorganized. We will just have to be patient and trust God in his timing.

So, in 32 days we head to Disney on what will probably be our last trip as a family of 6. We've decided Disney is on hold until after the adoption is complete....but look forward to visiting with our new daughter some day!

Thanks for letting me share :)

This is so exciting!!! Enjoy your vacation and I hope your adoption goes smoothly so you can enjoy another Disney vacation with your newest member soon!

Via Napoli for lunch 12:45 with the grandparents(my parents) or Biergarten for dinner 5:30 sans grandparents? Both options include DS 4 and DD 2.

I want to leave for a break and come back mostly for Illuminations.....

I don't think I understand the current cancelation policy then. What is it currently? I could've sworn the CM told me if I cancel after the 45 day mark we lost everything, before the 45 day mark we lost the $200.
Currently, if you cancel before the 45 day mark, you get everything back. If you cancel within 45 days, you get everything back except the $200 cancellation fee.

If you look at the 2013 and 2014 Terms and Conditions it appears that the only real change is the less than 24 hour cancellation. Both 2013 and 2014 state that no refunds will be made to no-shows which I assume means they don't check in on their scheduled arrival date. I don't know how many people cancel on their arrival day but I would think that number has to be very small.

Doing a SERIOUS Happy Dance tonight!! We are FINALLY in SINGLE DIGITS until we leave for Florida!!! :cool1: Definitely something to dance about!!:cool1::banana:

Just popping in to say HI!! and soak up everyones excitement!!:goodvibes
I hope you all have a wonderful trip. I miss planning with you all. I have jumped headfirst into puppy planning. Holy moly ..getting ready for a new puppy is like getting ready for a baby. We've fixed up the gates and the fence to be puppy proof, purchased toys, food, baby gates, dishes, a crate, bones, clickers, beds, etc. I even have a stuffed sling shot mallard duck for retrieving:rotfl2:
We have emailed with trainers and about puppy classes. We've popped in to see our vet and set up appointments for all of our shots and boosters. We still have to puppy proof the house. I have 4 different books on my nightstand, have joined a Labrador forum and today I bought a baby pool for the backyard.
I am ready and excited and have moments of "OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE?!!".
Basically I am planning for this puppy like I plan for Disney..obsessively. ;)
We picked a name democratically for our new Chocolate Lab pup and his name will be "Charlie Brown"::yes::

We're excited and ready. So as much as I wish I were still planning with all of you, I get a new family member in 15 days!!!! And we will be going to Disney in December when my sister can watch him.
I hope everyone has a wonderful trip and I will pop in to see all of your reviews and updates!!:goodvibes

What a great name! Very exciting, and definitely sounds like this puppy will be well loved. Congrats!

WOO HOO Joshsmom! So excited for you guys!

Pigletto, I've done the Chocolate Lab puppy thing (ours is now 10) and we picked up our Havanese puppy on May 4th so I'm also in the midst of the puppy thing. Good Luck!! Labs aren't the easiest puppies. I'm glad you're getting so prepared... I wasn't. I left it to dh and he didn't get us ready very well. Glad to hear you're already planning on doing training we needed it with ours. I love his name!!

This may be my personal preference, but I would do Via Napoli.

I just read this!!!!!!!!!:hyper:
Totally more exciting than my puppy news!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What wonderful wonderful news. Enjoy your last trip as a family of six and I hope we get to hear more when you become a family of 7!!!!

Correct, there is now no refund at all if you cancel the day before arrival. As a family who drives, we always start our journey the day before arrival. It has been reassuring to know that we could cancel on our way down to Disney, if needed, and still get our money back minus $200. Although we get vacation insurance for our cruises, with WDW's $200 cancellation fee up to the day of arrival, it never made sense to get it for WDW packages. Oh well, I guess it's just another thing to budget for!

I have a Magic Band question for everyone (sorry lol). We were picked to test them for next month. We don't have our park tickets yet because we are getting them through DH's company. If we don't link our tickets, will we be able to use regular FP? What do you guys think?

Disneyforus, that is amazing news! Good luck in the adoption process.
Joshsmom, still praying for good news.
Pigletto, Charlie Brown is a perfect lab name! Your family will love having a lab.

So much good news going on in the thread! Love it. We are two weeks away from our trip. I managed to sneak away today and buy dd a Cinderella dress to wear on breakfast the last day. She has a Belle for Akershus, and now has a Cindy for CRT. I leave for North Carolina tomorrow for a four day technology prof. Development, and I know when I return this thread will have moved ten plus pages! Have a good week everyone!

Same thing happened on our 2010 trip (august). So fast that we didn't even break out our ponchos.
I've seen video on youtube of total flood like situations though. I really REALLY am hoping to avoid that!
(fingers and toes crossed!)
