Late to the board, but not late on planning.

I've been planning our September 2014 trip for a long time, and booked in January. This is a surprise trip for our DDs 9th birthday. She'll turn 9 our 2nd day in the parks We're staying at POR, touring MK, Epcot, and AK. Road trip from SC! I can't wait til my first trip to WDW and experiencing the same with my Little. Yay!

No, I can't stand it at all! It's SO close, yet SO far... it's like waiting for Christmas morning! The last month is always the longest wait.

But aw man I get sad thinking about checking out even before the trip has started!

20 days til we're at Pop Century! Aug 30th to Sep 6th.

I caved in today and we went to the mall to buy some new clothes for the trip. I told myself that we would wait until 1 week before the trip but I couldn't help myself. lol

30 days and I too have bit the wagon and booked my next trip. My sons first spring break since he started pre k this year and we are going April 6-15. The day after Easter with spring break crowds! Eww but it's better than being home!

Hey everyone,
we decided on a last minute trip to the World and i just wanted to join in on the fun here on DIS boards!

pretty last minute considering we leave in three weeks and i just booked today! we're doing a split stay at WL and BC (boyfriend doesn't know about the WL it will be a surprise! it's a resort that's right up his alley but we've never been!)

we're on the deluxe plan this time and i know what everyone's thinking: ARE YOU CRAZY! 3 weeks out during room/fd promotions!? you'll never eat anywhere nice! lol. it's all good we are pretty lax about it as long as we have our Ohana's reservation (which we do!) we're good to go!

hope everyone has a magical time on their vacations!

No, I can't stand it at all! It's SO close, yet SO far... it's like waiting for Christmas morning! The last month is always the longest wait. But aw man I get sad thinking about checking out even before the trip has started!

I'm just under the month mark and was just thinking how I can't believe we're finally under a month away, yet it feels like forever!!!!

Well I posted once before (what seems like a LONG time ago!), but felt like visiting today because I am getting sooo excited!

What are the activities / things you are most looking forward to?

For me, there are lots of things!

1. My nephew who is 6 will be joining us. My daughter is 4 and the cousins don't get to see each other much. My mother passed away before they were both born, and we will be there around her birthday. My nephew has NEVER been to Disney or anything really like it. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and I can't wait to see the two of them with all that!

2. My daughter will just turn 4 this month, so she will be a part of the Jedi Training Academy (if we can get her in!). My husband is a huge Star Wars / Star Trek nut. I'm excited for both of them!

3. Narcoosee's reservations: My husband and I spent our 1st Anniversary there and it was magical - it's a special place for us.

4. We have a fast pass for Anna and Elsa!! My daughter loves Frozen!

5. Our first ever MNSSHP! My little girl is going to be.......yes, Elsa (probably like every other little girl). My husband and I are going to be Carl and Ellie - very sentimental for us!

6. We are going for almost 2 weeks! (Not my brother and his son, they will only be there 5 days). This gives us a little more time to take our time and enjoy!

7. We are staying at 3 different resorts that I've never stayed at before: Kidani at AKL, Art of Animation, Boardwalk Villas - never really explored the Boardwalk side of things - something new!

8. Back Yard Barbeque - really looking forward to exploring Fort Wilderness, also something new. I love the barbeque at Castaway Cay, so I'm hoping it's similar.

There are lots of old familiar things I'm excited about too, but too many to mention them all.....

Come on September!!

Today is our 1 month mark! I've been obsessively checking my email to see if the MBs have been shipped. They have not.

There are a lot of firsts for us this trip: going to MNSSHP and F&W, staying at GF, going on 7DMT, eating at BOG, and seeing Fantasmic.

I got notice today that ours are coming (the first set anyway) but not until next tuesday?!?! I'm not that patient!
