Y&BC or Swan/Dolphin for F&W Festival?

Do you rent a car when you are staying at the Swan or the Dolphin? It seems that the extra parking fee eliminates the advantage of having a car. $200 for the car rental for 5 days plus another $60 for parking, isn't a shuttle from the airport cheaper?

We didn't rent a car when we stayed at the Swan, simply because the transportation options are fantastic around the EPCOT resorts. We had one us out of five days coming home from the MK lat at nights that was packed to capacity. Other than that, transportation was fast and efficient everywhere, except to DTD.

We did, however, renat a car last year when we stayed at the WL. I have to admit, it was worth the cost since we could pretty much set our own schedule...

It's really personal preference. With the Swan & Dolphin you can get the room at approx $200 for the night wihtout a view. Add on $12 resort fee. If you get a car you need to add on $10 a night parking. Else, you need to schedule some other form of transportation to/from the airport. If you like the dining plan, you cannot get it staying at the Swan & Dolphin. They just offered free dining again thru the middle of August. Not sure if they will extend it at again. We chose to rent points and stay at a studio at BC. We are paying less than we would if we stayed at Swan/Dolphin. Plus, we purchased the QSDP so we can use the snack credits to try the foods aroundthe countries. The QSDP is only $35 per night. Plus, we get the Magical Express so don't have to pay for transportation to/from the airport. Plus, we get resort airline checkin so we don't have to wait in the long line at the airport that we always seem to encounter to check our bags.
