Hi everyone! I apologize if this is an ignorant question, but I am not a regular follower of the Cruise board and, in fact, have never been on a cruise. I have thought about doing a Disney cruise with my family and have done a bit of research. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone has any recent information (which could include rumors or an educated guess) about whether the Wonder may be "re-imagined," including the addition of an Aquadunk, in the foreseeable future? Some of the itineraries which interest me are on the Wonder, and I am in general interested in the smaller ships, but my family LOVES water slides and I can't quite envision booking on the Wonder if there is not a good water slide. So, does anyone know? What is the latest news/rumors about this? And once it is announced (if it hasn't been already), do you think prices will jump? I am looking at April 2017. Thanks in advance!

The cost of upgrades will be reflected in future fare prices. The Panama Canal is experiencing another delay. While much of the upgrades on the ship could be completed without the addition of the duck tail, I am not a structural engineer to decide if it is advisable, especially if there are no fuel savings.

They have done a very good job of keeping major changes under wraps. Personally I believe they will add Aquadunk since it has proven so popular in the Magic. But as long as the panama canal is delayed they will keep delaying the dry dock. It is much more cost effective to do all the major referb at one time.

If anything regarding water slides I would expect they would add an Aquaduck similar to the Magic. I believe I read somewhere that the size of the classics would not sustain a full Aquaduck.

Since I have never seen the layout of the Magic, would they have room for adding a slide like that considering that they already added on the indoor viewing area for Alaska on the Wonder?

Seems one of the new locks has a bad leak/crack..........and they are saying there will be another 3 month delay, which will likely mean a 6 to 8 month delay until the new locks open.

Most people are saying that Wonder is supposed to go into dry dock in Fall 2016. Whether they delay it again is another matter...

I can't see DCL delaying the dry dock. If anything they just won't add the aqua dunk until the next dry dock.
The ships have to go to dry dock ever so often by law.

Shell go to dry dock, but the million dollar question is whether she gets he full upgrade, partial, or just routine. It all depends on the lock timing.
