First you need a little background...
Boy it has been a rough past 6 months. We started "officially" planning our trip in January. At that time we got that great 40% room code through our TA Sandy (InstImpres on here). So we booked 3 rooms, as we were taking first timers MIL, and my DHs 5 younger siblings (9,9,12,13,14- they are adopted ). We were SO excited to get to take the kids!
It wasn't long after that that we were able to trade in our 40% for Free Dining. Let me tell you, w/o the great discounts, MIL would not even CONSIDER going, she one of those people, you know the ones I am refering to.
Well, with the great discount that Free Dining offers, DH said add on another week (just for us, so a week with and a week w/o his family) . PERFECTO!!!! Who could be more happy than I was at that moment! After carefully considering our options, I added on 5 more days, for a total of 11 nights!
Two weeks or so later, MIL cancels her trip. DH and I are so sad for the kids. We REALLY wanted to take them.
So, now it is just the four of us...
Me 26 - Hi! I am the Disney lover who got my Theme Park disliking DH to love Disney too! This will be my 4th trip. My first I barely remember, I was 3 and we visited MK for a day. 2nd, I was 14 and visited MGM for the day. In Jan. 2006, DH, DD, and I stayed on property for 3 nights during our split beach/ Disney trip. We had a blast even though I was 6.5 mo. pregnant at the time.
DH 27 - This is his 3rd trip. His first trip was to Epcot at 5, his mom did not plan and knew pretty much nothing going in. All DH remembers is walking FOREVER to a giant golf ball (they didn't know there was a ride inside)! Poor thing! He was not really looking forward to our trip in Jan 06. But I started him off right- we spent our first morning eating breakfast at CRT, where we had a window seat. It was love...especially after he saw the bill and thanked me for purchasing the dining plan! Then thanked me for planning! When we got home he bragged extensively about the enormous amount of food we had and how great it was to have it all paid for before we even got there. He tells people now, "Go to Disney, you'll love it! But, plan first!"
Here are some pics from our last trip:
DD(5)- This is her second trip. She is so excited! Keep you fingers crossed for us, as we'll be taking her out of school for about a week for this trip. We are hoping for no problems! I can't wait to see her reaction the second time around!
DS(will be 16 mos)- This is his first "official" trip to see the world. I've been showing him Pics and we've been watching dvds of rides and fireworks, as well as movies and shows like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I can't wait to see his little eyes light up!
Here is a recent pic of my babies:
