DD, 5: She wants Julie's bed (American Girl), a Lego Friends house, and basically everything she sees. She is getting a few Lego sets, American Girl doll accessories, a playmobil set, board games, and a few other small things.
My youngest is 11 and he really wanted a trick scooter. Grandma ended up buying that for him. Our big gift will be the Xbox One. Its technically his but we will all play it.
My DS also asked for "science" stuff, but I don't really see anything that's appropriate for a 4 year old.
If we specifically ask my DD6 what she wants Santa to bring her for Christmas, she doesn't know. And if she gets her hands on a catalog she circles every item on every page. Kids. So far I've bought a marble run (which she has asked for several times in the past) and a Goldie Blox set. My mom said she got her a set of Tinker Toys and DW's mom has gotten her Scrabble Jr and some kind of science kit about circuits/electricity. She also wants a science kit to make a volcano that erupts, but I'm thinking of putting that together myself since its so simple, and then maybe get her a book about volcanoes to go with it. I'll probably pick up another game or two, and some books.
DD2 is more difficult, since she has everything handed down from her sister and just wants to play with her sister's toys anyway. I'm looking for some dress up clothes in a smaller size for her but everything seems to be "fits size 4-6x." Will probably pick up some Frozen accessories like wand, tiara, etc since we somehow don't have those and she now LOVES Elsa. Other than that I have no idea. Maybe I'll look into those Magnatiles someone mentioned as a joint gift for both girls.
Be careful with the hover board. There are a lot of reports of them catching on fire, or even exploding, due to low quality rechargeable batteries.Ds15 - Air Jordan sneakers and a Nike Elite basketball Book bag. I got him both. The bookbag is something he's been wanting for a while and I refused. It's not on his Xmas list but he made the team at school last month so I'm going to surprise him with it. He's old enough that he knows what he's getting bc of his list but I try and surprise him.
Dd9- hover board. I refused to buy it. I know it's a novelty that she'll use for a few months and then it'll sit in the corner. XH bought her one. He can be the star of Christmas this year. Lol
