Items I really adored were a wooden cable car from a DIS family from San Francisco, playing cards from Tokyo Disney SEA, Jelly Bellys from a family who lives near the factory, and a CD of cruise music that I still play in the car if we need some happy memories. Oh, and a DIS family who works for the MOUSE gave us some items that they got at their company picnic. Really, I think the key is UNIQUE, from your hometown, or something to help capture and remind you of your good times on your cruise.
One family didn't bring gifts with them, but went to the market at our first port and bought little ceramic bowls for each FE family. I have that little bowl proudly displayed on a shelf in my livingroom, so if you are struggling for room to bring FE gifts, that might be an idea.
