What to pack...

    We've got 39 days until we leave!!

    I'm starting to stress slightly, it's been a nightmare getting everyones wedding outfits and still not 100% happy with the boys shoes so might need to change them again! lol

    I'm worried because there's so much to plan for the wedding that I've forgotten basic things!

    Here is what I have/will have ready to pack, and what I think we've got left to get. I have a very big niggling feeling there is something really important I've forgotten!

    What we have;

    All tickets/vouchers
    Folder with tickets/money/confirmation emails

    Camera/Video camera
    Underwater camera/video camera for DC and water parks
    Ipad/kindle for plane journey
    Passports
    ESTA's
    API's
    Photopass+
    ADR's booked
    Wedding booked
    Travel cards
    Cash dollars for first few days/tolls
    Wedding rings
    Hair straighteners
    Wedding attire
    Flowergirls basket and accessories
    Hair and make up for wedding booked
    Halloween costumes
    Mickey ears
    Plug converters for UK to US electric sockets
    Booster seats for car
    Sunglasses
    Chargers/batteries
    Hand luggage change of clothes
    Baby necessities
    Phone
    Shampoo/conditioner/toiletries
    Boostpaks for the kids to use as hand luggage and booster seats
    New car seat for baby so we can take one and have a spare at home if it gets lost

    What we need;


    Wedding licence
    Snacks/entertainment for plane and car journey
    Groceries for Villa
    Sunscreen
    Photos of passports/tickets
    New swimwear
    Music and music player for ceremony (nowhere to plug so need something with batteries that's loud enough to hear!)


    Also with the baby's car seat, is it right we can check that in with our normal suitcases with no extra charge and it doesn't go towards our baggage allowance? Do I just bag it up and put our name and details on it? Never been with a baby before!

    babe pls chillax, i ve said this on fb!! u r like me, and over worry everything, take what u need and 1/2 it, and then pack a quater of that, u need meds, passport, money id for car (paper part), anything else (other than ur wed dress;) if u forget u can buy there....

    its meant to be the happiest day of ur life, not the most stressed!!

    Haha, I know I'll get there and not wear/use half of it!

    Absolute musts are passports, tickets, money, travel cards, everyone's wedding attire and cameras.

    I'm not that fussed with clothes, we'll probably get a load there, but the rest above...! lol

    You mention you are taking your ipad - have you any speakers that you can use (or borrow off someone) to play your ceremony music from the ipad?

    I'm sure you can but they will probably be expensive if they are 'official' ipad ones. Any speakers with a standard 3.5mm jack should be compatible, just check the sound output is loud enough before you buy :)

    I'm just like you, such a worrier when packing and really all I have to worry about is myself, as I'm only packing for myself!!

    don't forget all the chargers for your camera, Ipad etc....:goodvibes

    This is exactly what I am like. I have to pack for 5 and feel that I will get the blame if anything is forgotten. I've only forgotten something once - all of MY underwear.:scared1: I'd put it on the dressing table, ready to pack and it was all still there when we got back.

    Have you got insurance documents? Told your bank that you are going away? Driver's license if hiring a car?

    Got print outs of travel insurance, keys with the people who are looking after house, telling the bank?? I didn't even think about that. Must find the paper part of my licence actually, thank you I would have forgotten that!

    I'm being thick cause I'm sleepy but what are APIs?

    The only thing I could think to add would be 'bug spray'/mosquito repellant. And that's only on my mind cause I just picked mine up. Flight socks maybe?

    Ahh good idea :D

    API = Advanced Passenger Information, some airlines/tour operators require it.

    Looking at your list it looks good to me. I am going crazy and we have 35 days to go and I am wanting to get the cases out now. As long as you have your wedding stuff you will be fine. Remember any thing you need you can buy there. Even socks as my DH thankfully found to lol.

    Me too!! I know there's still plenty of time but I need to have the cases out so that I can pack and re-pack for a few weeks :laughing:

    Im also like you and have now started to worry about making sure we have everything!

    I bet your so very excited now I know when our wedding was coming up in Disney i was hyper for ages before lol.

    You will be there the same time as us,Where are you staying?

    We're in a villa so we can have lots of space and privacy this time, and our own pool of course! No good having our wedding night with the kids in the same room! Lol

    So excited!!!!!
