That is the cutest little skeleton I have seen in a long time. :lovestruc

I think the easiest thing would be to scratch Coral Reef like you said. I like having the last day with no plans so you can wing it. Stick at the resort if you want or head into a park. I find it less stressful if I have no plans on the last day. :thumbsup2

Sorry I haven't been commenting as much, just so busy with life and school.

You can't have Halloween without Tarzan! :lmao:

Thank you, I thought he was super cute.

That is what I'm leaning towards.

Ha! I have to laugh, because I know how you feel. I was totally incoherent last night after trick or treating and freezing my patootie off, and then a couple glasses of wine... :rolleyes1

Thank you! MJS had printed some scarier masks, but I used the mom executive veto. I wanted him to look like a cute skeleton, if that's possible. :lmao:

    I think so, too.

And no worries! You have a lot going on. :goodvibes

I love your little skeleton! So cute. The fall up until Halloween is one of my favorite times of year too. I love the colors and that slight nip in the air. Of course once all the leaves are off the trees I'm not as enamored of it anymore. ;)

One thing looking at your ADRs, isn't the half marathon on Sunday not Monday? Or am I wrong? It was just my first thought looking at it. Other than that, I think that giving up the Coral Reef is probably be your best bet if you want to move Chef Mickeys off that last day.

I'm in agreement. Chef Mickey's instead of Coral Reef. But I would keep the CR ressie just in case you get down there and decide that CM's isn't a good idea.

Your dates and days are wrong on this. March 1st is a Tuesday

Me, too. Fall up until Halloween...although I do enjoy Thanksgiving. After that, the weather's all down hill. :lmao:

Yup. I knew what I was talking about, but there was a little disconnect between the brain and the hands there. I think because I was writing it on a Sunday. LOL

WOW TK... you sure do have a way with words.

Congrats on your new 'job'! I kind of consider myself a SAHD... sort of. It is rewarding 99% of the time. The other 1% is pull your hair out material- but you already know that. :lmao:

I don't know what to tell you with your CM ADR. I think holding the breakfast for your last day is a good idea... for now. Or you can always just eat breakfast at Main St. Bakery. Save some money and be able to spend more time in MK. You can always get to Toontown....errrrr or where ever Mickey & friends are going to be stationed, and see them too. :confused3

Congratulations on your decision to become a SAHM again! It's such a hard decision, but like you said, you gotta do what is right for your family. :goodvibes

As for the plans, it sounds like canceling the CR and doing the CM breakfast will be the path, sounds great to me!

Nope, that was all me. :lmao:

    Thanks, my friend. :goodvibes

And that one percent can be super frustrating, no? :lmao:

Thanks for the advice. All will be revealed in due time. :thumbsup2

Thank you. I'm really happy with my decision.

    Update coming soon. ;)

    Ah, yes.

The dreaded C word. It occurred to me recently, in the haze of taking care of children and grieving for my mom that the holidays are fast approaching.

And due to said haze, I was sadly, behind. Normally I am uber prepared, shopping is done or planned, things may even be wrapped. It has happened this early, I swear it! :lmao:

This year, though, has just been sort of this weird realization that the holidays are coming and it's time to buy gifts. I can get excited about it being Squirt's first Christmas, but it's funny because we have so many toys from when Nemo was little, I think, what does this baby possibly need? Still, he deserves some toys that are just his, I think, and so yesterday, I did some online shopping and get some things for him, started thinking about a plan for what to get Nemo, and finished off a lot of the adults on my list.

A lot of people are getting photobooks from me this year. In addition to wanting some of those last memories of my mom, I just figured it was the way to go. I plan to wrap each book with a travel size kleenex, to at least infuse some humor into what is going to be a little sad to look at. The last pictures of Mom.

It is what it is. I've said it many times. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other.

Every year, as per a tradition my mother started when I was little, I give my son pajamas on Christmas Eve. I added to the tradition by including a book, the idea being that you wear the jams (as we call them) that night, and read the book before you go to bed.

Now, I got real cutesy in the past couple of years, and bought matching...or as matching as I could...jams for MJS and Nemo. Two years ago, it was Spongebob, last year, it was Scooby Doo.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find matching jams when one of the kiddos you're buying for is going to be not quite five months old? Needless to say we're not even in the same ballpark of animated characters as an option.

There was only one choice, one obvious character to go with.

    Mickey.

And truly, how much longer will I be able to give Mickey Mouse pajamas to Nemo and have him think it's super cool? Let's hope forever, like me, who never grew out of it, but you never know! I must milk it for all it's worth as we travel into the world of Transformers and Batman and Legos! :lmao:

So, for your viewing pleasure, here's what my boys will be opening on Christmas Eve.

The cool thing about Nemo's, too, is that they come with a bow tied around them, as they're meant to be a gift. So cute.

Yesterday, they were offering free shipping when you bought a personalized item, so I got Nemo a personalized Pirates book which I am uber excited about. That is going to be an absolute hoot to read on Christmas Eve. It had the option of putting a friend's name in as well, so I put Squirt. I can't wait to get these things. I had a 15% off code, got free shipping, picked up the pjs and some gifts for Squirt and a couple of my nieces. A highly successful endeavor.

You're probably wondering what this has to do with anything.

Well, I got to thinking. With everyone getting Mickey jams for Christmas, doesn't it make sense to do the big Disney trip reveal then as well? It would make such a cute theme to have everyone opening their pajamas, and then have that be an added surprise for Nemo.

Never mind that as time goes on, it's getting harder and harder to be the KOTS. :lmao:

One of my ideas is to buy a small photo album (perhaps even Disney themed) and wrap it up with the pajamas, but leave it empty.

When Nemo asks why it's empty, which he will, he's that kind of a kiddo, I can tell him it's for all the pictures we'll take on our next trip.

What do you all think? :goodvibes

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ha! Just occurred to me I wrote that big chapter and didn't include anything about my decision.

Short version: we canceled Coral Reef and put Chef Mickey's on that day. After hearing Nemo talk about how much he liked it, and the food he eats there, and thinking of all the good memories we've made there, even though I know it will be hard, it feels like the right thing to do.

So now, we've got it scheduled as a late breakfast, like we usually do, and if we're up before and want to explore the resort a bit or go to a park, we can.

Or we can just lounge in the room like the lazy bums that we are and watch cartoons in our PJs. Hey, it's vacation, right? ;)

I love the pjs and I really like the idea of canceling the Coral Reef in favor of CMs that morning. Especially since Nemo likes it so much!

Yay an update!!:yay: And a good one it was.

LOVE the idea of the photo book in the PJs......Awesome.:thumbsup2

Also love the Chef Mickey's decision! We love that place. Heck if it wasn't such a "social" place to eat, I'd even be making an OOP ADR to go there in Feb.! But that would have to be the definition of uber-weird, to eat there solo!:lmao:

I'm so envious of you having it so "together" for the shopping season!

Nemo does really like it, and that was my deciding factor. He's been a big help in the grieving process without even realizing it. If there's something he wants to do, we go do it, you know?

Like taking the kids to Santa's Land in Vermont. I mean, that's where the real Santa is, how could I not go even though it was hard on me?

Thanks for joining! Happy to have you here. :goodvibes

    Thanks!

And, dude. I'd totally go by myself. But that's me, I am super crazy like that.

Of course, if I was alone, that would beg the question, how do you take pictures? :lmao:

I should add, my togetherness for the holidays is only so that if I need to fall apart and have a complete meltdown later, at least I'll have gotten most of it done already.

    Kat, I'm all caught up.

First, and foremost, this is for you:

I lost my dad two years ago this August. Although it was not "unexpected", it was still the most difficult thing I have ever dealt with in my lifetime. The day after he passed, we had to take our youngest son back to college and a week later we were leaving for our 25th anniversary trip for Disney. I didn't want to go, but my dad made me promise him during the last conversation that we had, that Mark and I would go and enjoy this joyous time in our lives.

I won't lie to you and say it was easy...it wasn't. But it wasn't all painful either. There were tears of joy and tears of sadness (riding Spaceshiip Earth was the hardest because it was my dad's "favorite."). I chose to get a balloon each year and give it to a child, with the parents permission, in honor of my dad because he always bought the boys balloons wherever we went. You will find those moments of "tears of joy" and "tears of sadness", but know that your mom "is there with you."

Love your dining choices; and those pajamas are just too cute. I look forward to following along.

I was behind. Congrats on schosing to stay home with the boys. Sorry about the milk allergy addition to the ADR's. Very cute jammies. We also bought some Disney ones this year. I did a personalized Christmas photo card as a tribute to my Mom last year. Yay for telling Nemo about the trip.
