We Need a Redo! A Fall 2012 PTR: NEW 11/11 Trip Report Link!

Thanks so much for sharing what works for you! I try and go for a walk/hike 5 days a week but I've been really bad for the last month.

I also use myfitnesspal! I've been using it off and on for a few years and when I use it, its a great tool!! My problem is usually I do not eat enough! I tend to eat a lean cuisine at work and then not eat much else till the following morning. I'm an RN so I can't just take a break every couple of hours to eat or grab a snack so its really hard for me to find balance with my meals. I think if I can do that it will help my metabolism and I will do much better.

Wo-Hoo on the 5K!! I've tried jogging when I walk and its really hard for me! Maybe someday!

You are doing so great! Keep up the wonderful job! :cheer2:

Joining in on your PTR! Congrats on the weight loss. It's awesome not only that you have taken off the weight, but that you've done it in a way that is healthy and sustainable. What an awesome accomplishment!

I'll chime in on the PCOS encouragement. A dear friend of mine was diagnosed with PCOS. After just a few months on the meds, she and her husband were pregnant - with twins! They turn two this fall:) So know that this diagnosis is not the end - not by a long shot!

Glad to hear you're still going to Disney - I'll look forward to reading the rest of your trip report:)

That makes 3 couples that I know/heard of that conceived with the help of the medication. I hope we'll have success as well.

Having Disney to look forward to definitely helps with all the stresses of life. :)

I've been wanting to actually post an update that will semi-hold your interest and I finally got around to finishing up the pages from our 2010 trip to Disney World. It's a digital album which makes it easier to share the pages with you. Enjoy!

Thanks, Amy!

Nope that off-site is from April. :) Were definitely still at Pop.

Your scrapbook pages are adorable! :cool1: I wish I knew how to do that! :rotfl:

Thanks. It's actually really simple, the program I bought at Best Buy and it works very similarly to Microsoft Publisher.

My ticker says 1 month, 4 weeks until our trip; 58 days! :cool1:

Short life update: We’ve been doing great with saving money and paying down our debt. :cheer2: Of course, our washer is on the fritz and we’ve having a repairman out tomorrow to take a look and I’m hoping to keep the cost below $150. Our house has been on the market a little over 2 months and we’ve had 6 showings, 1 of which was a 2nd showing. We’re being patient and we’re not in a rush but you get so excited every time you have a showing hoping that it will lead to an offer. We also meet with our fertility specialist in a couple weeks to go over the results of all of the tests we’ve been getting done the past month. I’m hopeful and I pray that by this time next year Greg and I will be expecting our first child. pixiedust:

Trip update: I’m having a hard time scheduling our time at the parks. I think because our past 2 trips on-property, we’ve had 8 full days+ and we have 5 this trip; which I’m obviously still grateful for. I have us visiting DHS and AK once, MK twice and Epcot twice and I even have open time scheduled! I think the underlying cause may be the dining situation. I think that I need to take the main focus off of the ADRs which is SO HARD. I also need to leave a chunk of time open on one of our days for a brunch/lunch/early dinner with Greg’s family who lives in the area. They suggested eating somewhere at the Yacht Club and they wanted to do the Yachtsman Steakhouse but they don’t open until 530, so I think I’m going to suggest brunch or lunch at the Captain’s Grille. We won’t be using dining credits for that meal, so it’s a bonus TS.

Perhaps if you take a look at my rough outline you can offer me advice? I know that I am going to end up changing around some of the ADRs and I’m having a hard time fitting in all of our QS meals. What a problem to have, right? I’ve also started to make a rough wish list of things we’d like to get done in each park but I think that I’m not going to do TPs because I really want this trip to be a ‘do what we want when we want’ which is why all these ADRs are stressing me out! (No, I DON’T want to cancel the DDP, I love TS dining in Disney.) Should I go with only our MUST DO ADRs made? I don’t think any of the restaurants we’ve chosen are going to be particularly hard to get a reservation last minute but never say never.

I agree that it's hard to schedule park time on a shorter trip! I think you have to figure out your priorities at each park to determine whether you want to be there in the morning or evening. If you are doing a park once in the morning & once in the evening, you might want to consider doing that on the same day (like DHS) so you can grab some FPs on your way out to use later. I know that's harder to do now but some FPs still have times that are pretty far out.

We're never ones to use the DDP since we stay offsite and use the TiW card but you might want to do the math. I know it's convenient but you want to make sure you come out ahead.

Sorry if that's not very helpful...

I made a list for each park of things we'd like to do. I didn't even title it 'must dos' (now I have Stacy stuck in my head :rotfl:). Greg sat down with me yesterday and we figured out a schedule that looks like it can work. However, I'm totally okay with 'winging' it.

Helloooooooooooo out there! (Echo, Echo, Echo) Anyyyyyyyyyway...

Greg and I sat down together and took a look at the schedule and I think we did a mighty fine job of making time for what we really wanted to do. I made a touring card (got the idea from DisMomAmy + friends) for our first full day and being that my ticker is at LESS THAN 2 MONTHS, I thought I'd start to share our daily plan/goals.

Day 1 is really only traveling. Greg and I will both work during the day and we'll head to the airport in the late afternoon for our evening flight. Right now, we're scheduled to arrive at MCO somewhere in the 9 o'clock hour. We'll fit dinner in there somewhere (most likely before our flight). Once we arrive at Pop (via ME), we'll get settled in and then go to bed! Not very exciting and definitely NOT worth a touring card.

Moving onto day 2:

The timeline is just to give me a rough idea of how I imagine our day working out. There is a large chunk of time for a break but I think it would be nice to relax by the pool for quite some time and since we'll be getting in late the night before and getting up early, I'll know we'll appreciate the rest. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. If not, we'll probably end up napping and maybe spending more time at MK. I'm not sure that we'll have any of the snacks on this day as we'll be having an early lunch and hopefully sharing a Nutella waffle from Sleepy Hollow for breakfast. Yum! One thing I know is definite is our evening, I am looking forward to finally trying Narcoosee's and we HAVE TO see Hallowishes, it's our favorite show in Disney World!

I love the planning cards!! Also thinking of doing them!! I don't have a printer though lol. your plans look good! I am trying to make sure I plan in rest time as well! Even if it is just on a park bench for awhile! LOL.

Love your planning! DH made up a spreadsheet of our days, which parks we plan to be in, etc. But I love the "goals" - I have to mention this to him, since he loves planning so much. It'll give him something extra to work on between now and Monday! :)

Our printer is VERY touchy. I usually just print things off at work, though.

I need to learn that it's okay to just sit and relax while IN the parks, too. :) I may just need to purchase an adult beverage or two to make that happen. ::yes::

I like the goals, too. Since it is such a short trip, I know we aren't going to be able to do everything that we want. Especially since I want to take this trip a lot slower. I want to stop and smell the roses. Disney planning is such a stress relief but such a stress at the same time. haha!

Your touring card is so cute, what a great idea! I love the idea of having goals for each day, I kind of did that in May, although I didn't write everything down, but it was nice to have an idea of what I really wanted to get done! :thumbsup2

I'm having the hardest time planning our trip! I'm really going to have to sit down this weekend and figure it all out, because it's bothering me! It shouldn't be this hard! :rotfl2:

That's exactly why I think it's a great idea for us. We have a solid 5 days in which to cram as much as we can...but at the same time, on our last trip we both had colds and were forced to take it slow and loved it. So it'll be a fine line to walk. ;)

Thanks! I've made list after list for each park and I decided I needed a more organized (and fun!) way of putting it all together. There is so much to do and so many foods that I want to try that I haven't and I know that I won't get it all done this trip and that there will always be more added to the list but I like to have the list in front of me when we're on the trip. :)

Agreed. It's the inner struggle of 'Well, you're only here for a short period of time so you should do everything you can.' and 'I am on vacation after all, what would I like to do today?' :) As much as I love Disney World, I also value my relaxation time. I love spending time by the pool, reading and enjoying a cold beverage. :beach: :)

I love your touring card! :thumbsup2 I find them very helpful to give a guideline of what we want to do so I don't forget something. It's also a good place to write down show times, etc.

Why, thank you! :thumbsup2

I like to make them because it makes me even more excited for our trip!
