Me( )-I'm Tori and I will turn 22 on this trip. I work as an admin assistant at a medical transcription company. My favorite character is Stitch! I love everything Disney. I have been to Disney World 9 times so this is going to make number 10! I religiously listen to the Disunplugged podcast every week. The thing I am looking forward to the most is having my birthday at Disney World and eating at Narcoossee's.
DH mickeyjum)-Hi name is Brandon and he is a senior pharmacy technician at Walgreens. He graduates from Drake University on Saturday with a Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology(say that three times fast), but doesn't know what he is going to do with his degree yet. He loves Disney too just not as much as me. His favorite character is Dale because his middle name is Dale. The thing he is looking most forward to is being on the deluxe dining plan and getting to try some new places.
The Plan-We are going from September 24-Oct 1 and are staying in a Magic Kingdom View room on the deluxe dining plan, at least we are hoping so. As of right now there are still Magic Kingdom rooms left but I have not booked yet, but will be within the next couple of weeks. My birthday is September 29 and we are going to be eating at Akershus for breakfast that morning and then eating at Narcoossees for dinner that night. I have never been to Disney World on my birthday and I know it will be magical. We are both going to fly out of the same airport but flying into two separate airports coming home so I can go scrapbooking with my mom at a retreat we have had planned for a few months now.
How this trip came to be: In the beginning of April I went down to Arizona to visit some family and got back on April 18th and DH had in his mind he wanted to start looking at houses because of the first time home buyer tax credit and the low interest rates. Well, there is only one problem we signed a 12 month lease at our apartment complex in March so we still have 10 months left on our lease. We started looking online at some houses and found a townhouse that we really liked and really liked the price. So we set up an appointment the next day after I got back from AZ to go and look at the house. We absolutely loved it and loved the location. We made an offer the next day after getting pre approved for the loan. We made an offer at 6:45 and got a call at 8:30 that they accepted with no counter offer. Now you may be asking what in the world does this have to do with a Disney trip, so let me explain. We are closing on the house next Wednesday the 20th. With being first time home buyers we get the $8000 tax credit and found out we can go an amend our taxes from this past year and get that money with a couple of months. So that is how the trip is being paid for.
Back story: DH and I got married December 7, 2007 and honeymooned at Disney World for a week. We stayed at the Contemporary in a Magic Kingdom view room and knew that is where we wanted to stay this time since it was free dining and we had the $8000 coming back to us.
