Me( :stitch: )-I'm Tori and I will turn 22 on this trip. I work as an admin assistant at a medical transcription company. My favorite character is Stitch! I love everything Disney. I have been to Disney World 9 times so this is going to make number 10! I religiously listen to the Disunplugged podcast every week. The thing I am looking forward to the most is having my birthday at Disney World and eating at Narcoossee's.

DH :-)mickeyjum)-Hi name is Brandon and he is a senior pharmacy technician at Walgreens. He graduates from Drake University on Saturday with a Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology(say that three times fast:laughing:), but doesn't know what he is going to do with his degree yet. He loves Disney too just not as much as me. His favorite character is Dale because his middle name is Dale. The thing he is looking most forward to is being on the deluxe dining plan and getting to try some new places.

The Plan-We are going from September 24-Oct 1 and are staying in a Magic Kingdom View room on the deluxe dining plan, at least we are hoping so. As of right now there are still Magic Kingdom rooms left but I have not booked yet, but will be within the next couple of weeks. My birthday is September 29 and we are going to be eating at Akershus for breakfast that morning and then eating at Narcoossee’s for dinner that night. I have never been to Disney World on my birthday and I know it will be magical. We are both going to fly out of the same airport but flying into two separate airports coming home so I can go scrapbooking with my mom at a retreat we have had planned for a few months now.

How this trip came to be: In the beginning of April I went down to Arizona to visit some family and got back on April 18th and DH had in his mind he wanted to start looking at houses because of the first time home buyer tax credit and the low interest rates. Well, there is only one problem we signed a 12 month lease at our apartment complex in March so we still have 10 months left on our lease. We started looking online at some houses and found a townhouse that we really liked and really liked the price. So we set up an appointment the next day after I got back from AZ to go and look at the house. We absolutely loved it and loved the location. We made an offer the next day after getting pre approved for the loan. We made an offer at 6:45 and got a call at 8:30 that they accepted with no counter offer. Now you may be asking what in the world does this have to do with a Disney trip, so let me explain. We are closing on the house next Wednesday the 20th. With being first time home buyers we get the $8000 tax credit and found out we can go an amend our taxes from this past year and get that money with a couple of months. So that is how the trip is being paid for.

Back story: DH and I got married December 7, 2007 and honeymooned at Disney World for a week. We stayed at the Contemporary in a Magic Kingdom view room and knew that is where we wanted to stay this time since it was free dining and we had the $8000 coming back to us.

*Update*

I booked our trip tonight! It's official we will be staying at the Contemporary in a MK view room from Sept 24-Oct 1 on the DxDDP!

Up next...tentative ADRs

Where is everyone????? Come out lurkers....

September park hours haven't been released yet so these are tentative and you can only book 90 days in advance now so I'm sure these will change.

I have tentatively decided on ADRs, so here goes.

September 24-This is the day we arrive so I am not going to plan a lunch because who knows what time we will get in. When we went to WDW on our honeymoon our first flight got cancelled and were supposed to get there at like 10:30 and didn't get there until 6:30 so there for I am not planning anything but dinner this night, but we are starting off with a bang at California Grill. I am going to try and make an ADR for around Wishes time and go out on the observation deck to watch the fireworks. We have never been here before and are really looking forward to going here. Since we are staying at the Contemporary all we have to do is go upstairs to eat.

September 25-Breakfast this day we are going to go to 'Ohana character breakfast with Lilo and Stitch, here is a picture from last time:
DisneyWorld072.jpg

Stitch is my favorite character so this breakfast is a must do for us.

Lunch-We are going to go to Sci-Fi for lunch this day. We don't LOVE this place but we have gone the last two trips so it's kind of a tradition. Here is a picture of us at Sci-Fi the last time:
DisneyWorld084.jpg

Dinner-Tonight we are going to Coral Reef. Brandon has never been here and the last time I was here was March 2005 on Spring Break with my family.

September 26-Breakfast We are going to Chef Mickey's today. I know a lot of people don't care for the food here but we love the breakfast here. We went here on our honeymoon and it was nice cause we just went down one level because our room was right above Chef Mickey's. Here is a pic of us at Chef Mickey's last time:

Lunch-We plan to go to Beaches and Cream this day. I want to go there just to see if anyone has a kitchen sink. I don't thin DH and I will get one because there is only the two of us but who knows.

Dinner-We are going to Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge. We have never been here before but have seen TRs(especially HeatherLynn444)where they make it look awesome! DH and I love BBQ and me I am guessing will get embarrased because I LOVE Ketchup.

Up next...more ADRs

Ok back to the ADRs

I have all ready changed something around. I decided I wanted to go see Stitch at Ohana for breakfast on my birthday. So on the 25th, we are going to go to Akershus for breakfast with the princesses. We’ve been to this breakfast three times before and love it. I would recommend this place instead of the Cinderella’s Royal Table for two reasons, 1. it is easier to get a reservation and 2. it is only 1 table service rather than 2.
Here is a picture of us at Akershus last time:

Onto September 27

For Breakfast this day we are going to go to Cape May Café. We have never been here for breakfast before but thought we would try it. I’m thinking the easiest way to get here would be to go to Hollywood Studios and then take a boat to the Beach Club. I’ve seen TRs where people have gone here and it looks fun. Sorry no picture for this one cause I’ve never been here.

Lunch-We are going to go over to Hollywood Studios for the afternoon and go to Pizza Planet for lunch if we are hungry. We’ve gone to pizza planet a few times and enjoy the atmosphere. I hope to be able to ride Toy Story Mania while we are here this day but don’t know if we will have time. Here is a picture of Pizza Planet:

Dinner-We are going to go to Teppan Edo this day for dinner. We went there in December 2007 and absolutely loved it. It was our favorite meal of the week and can’t wait to go back again. Here is a pic of us from 2007:

September 28-
Breakfast-We are going to go to Crystal Palace. We have never been here but have heard it is kind of like Chef Mickey’s. Plus I would love to get into the MK before the park opens to get some pictures of Main Street with no one around.

Lunch-We are just going to get counter service this day for lunch.

Dinner-I’m not quite sure what we are going to do for dinner this day. Any suggestions would be awesome!

September 29-MY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Breakfast-We are going to go to Ohana with Stitch this morning for breakfast

Lunch-Probably not do much for lunch this day maybe, have a margarita in Mexico along with a churro. Hey it’s my birthday and I’m at Disney World. I can do anything I want.
Dinner-We are going to Narcoossee’s this night. I wanted something nice for my bday and I thought this would be awesome. I’ve seen the menus and have seen Trip reports and am really excited to go here.

September 30-Our last full day
Breakfast-We are going to go to Grand Floridian Café. Never been to this place either but am looking forward to it.

Lunch-50s Prime Time Café. We haven’t been here since we got engaged in March 2006 so am kind of excited to finally be going back.

Dinner-We are going to go to Yachtsmen Steakhouse. Never been here before either but have heard the review on it from Dis-unplugged and Dining Reports on it and it looks really tasty. Being from Iowa I always love a good steak.

So those are our tentative ADRs. If you have any suggestions I would be willing to consider them because we still have 4 dining credits to use up.

We slept in our new house last night for the first time! It was awesome.

I just subscribed. Any Disney trip that makes use of tax money to pay for it is one I want to read!

*Update*-I bought our airfare today!!!!! It was only $300 round trip combined for me and DH. Considering we are in a smallish town in the middle of the midwest that is pretty darn good.

Hi Everyone! I have a short little update. After next Friday I can really get to planning cause that is when I can make our ADRs. I do however have made a tentative plan for each day. Also, we are buying a new camera tonight so hopefully I can get some really great pictures on vacation. Stay tuned for official ADRs....
