I leave for WDW in just 2 days!
Scratch that... I'm back! And I ate waaaaay too much!
I'm currently writing a Pre-Trip Report, and plan to write a Trip Report once I return home… so I figured why not write a Dining Review, as well?
If you'd like to get all the scoop on how my trip came about, you can check out my PTR: 4 Hot Mamas take on the World
Or, for the (not so) condensed version:
My original plans were to arrive in WDW with my mom, sister (Heather), and sister's best friend (Helen) on 9/4. Meanwhile, I started talking with my good friends, Kat and Angie, about the three of us taking a trip. The time that would be best for Kat was the last week of August, literally the week before my original trip was to begin. I don't think my husband would be ok with two trips, back-to-back… but I couldn't let my friends go to WDW without me!
So, I'm flying to WDW late Wednesday 8/31, in order to spend a few days with my friends! Kat and Angie will leave to go back home on Sunday 9/4… and that's the day Mom, Heather, and Helen arrive!
Here are a few photos of who will make appearances in this DR:
Kat, me, and Angie… this is a photo from a few years ago (and is the 1st photo ever taken of the three of us!)
My mom
My sister, Heather and her best friend, Helen
Now, onto what this Dining Review is really about… the food! I'll be trying some new places, as well as returning to a few favorites during this trip (hence the title of this DR!)
For the first part of my trip, I'll be on the DDP. Mom, Heather, Helen, and I are staying off-site, so no dining plan for us… but we still have scheduled one sit-down meal for the days we're there.
The dining experiences I'm trying for the first time are:
'Ohana
Cape May
Rose & Crown
Les Chefs de France
Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party
And the favorites I'm returning to are:
Boma
The Crystal Palace
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
As for QS meals, we don't have any planned out… I'm sure those will just depend on where we are when we get hungry.
And if that's not enough food, I have a list of treats I want to try:
Butterfinger Cupcake - Starring Rolls
Cinnamon Roll - Main Street Bakery
Mickey Mouse Pretzel - Frontierland Pretzel Cart
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake - Starring Rolls
Caramel Cupcake (are we seeing a pattern here?) - Karamell-Küche
Carrot Cake Cookie - Writer's Stop
Kaki Gori - Japan
Now, I do have a sweet tooth… but I'm pretty sure that's too much sugar for one person to handle! We'll see if I'm able to sample them all.
So those are my dining plans for the trip. Let me know what you think!
