Jen, you should at least give 50's PTC a try. I've had 2 very different servers on my visits there as well. On our honeymoon, Greg and I were a little more reserved and I think our waitress picked up on the vibe (either that or she wasn't as into her character role). When I visited with my sister, our waiter was a riot! He had us in stitches and my sister and I still laugh about it. It was one of my most memorable moments in Disney, without a doubt!
The food is delicious (I recommend the fried chicken and a PB&J shake) and it's a dining experience you really can't get anywhere else besides Disney.
P.S. Your chicken parm looks AMAZING. I have the Disney blues, BAD! I wish Greg and I could squeeze in (and afford!) a quick fall trip this year but I just don't think it's feasible with our house on the market and my new job (I work nearly 55 hours this week between both jobs! ). When it comes down to it, though, I'd rather wait until next fall when we'll (hopefully) have more money and I'll be able to anticipate the trip which is ALMOST as much fun as the trip itself.
