    Porcupine Meatballs II

    * 1 pound ground beef & 1 pound lean pork (or all beef)
    * 1 beaten egg
    * 1/2 c. milk
    * 2/3 c. rice (raw)
    * 1 tsp. salt

    Sauce:

    * 2 1/2 cups tomatoes
    * 1 1/2 cups water or broth
    * 2 tbsp. chopped onion
    * 1 tsp. salt
    * 1 tsp. basil
    * 1 bay leaf

    Mix meats; add egg, milk, rice and salt. Form into 1 1/2 inch balls; brown in a large skillet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Combine tomatoes, water, onion, salt, basil and bay leaf. Drain excess grease from meatballs and add to sauce mixture. Cover and cook for 7 to 9 hours on low. Discard bay leaf out before serving.
