Hi Lessa’s mom here, just chiming in, I've been in and out of it for the past few days, so I haven’t been posting, just reading along (Oh, how I wish I were still on holiday) as I was sitting at work today, by mind drifted back to a week ago when we were at Castaway Key, and I thought where did the time go; thank goodness for Lessa’s trip report it brings it all back with a BIG bonus of a laugh, a smile and of fond memories. This week I have been dealing with grueling physio for my frozen shoulder 3x a week for 1 hour, the past few days I've been battling a very nasty cold... and work...!!**?@!%&*^!!!, I am hoping to see some brighter and happier days ahead once I move into new position in Major Gifts, and away from Gift Admin.
My two week holiday with Lessa was wonderful, how I survived that first day, all I have to say it must have been Disney Magic, I was pretty beat as the evening wore on. I found that the heat really did not really affect me as in previous years as the humidity wasn’t too high due to all the wonderful weather we experienced throughout the week. Heat/Humidity do not work well with me and my MS. Someone on this thread mentioned earlier in the week about my sandals, they are the best for someone who is on their feet all day. The are called Fitflops, very pricey though, here in Canada I paid around $85.00, well worth it!!!!; check out this website.

never had any sore feet at the end of day, I felt for Lessa, as I had learn last year that some sandals are just not meant for walking and standing in for long periods of time. My only recommendation is that if you buy the black sandals they stain your feet, if you get them wet. I had some very funny tan lines on my feet on a few occasions.
It was nice to go into the parks this year without an agenda, it was very relaxing to wander and not feel so harried and rushed to get from point A to Point B; we each knew what we did and didn’t want to do, and yes I (MOM) had a few surprises along the way. I found this year compared to previous years that the CM's and Character interactions were more personal, relaxed and less rushed. I do agree with Lessa, that sometimes that as an adult without children the a aim and focus of the photographer is not there, on a few occasions we asked, or did a few extra things with the characters to get just a few more pictures.
I meet some very special people and made some friends along the way on this trip, (as I do on each of our trips) in fact some may say that "we were stalking" these special people have added to my wonderful memories. Even without the "Brother's Grimm" Lessa and I had some very interesting and magical moments of our own, as I am sure she will share, but I have to say not a day went by that Alek and Erich did not enter out thoughts and bring about a smile and laugh about what if…
Well all for now, sit back and enjoy, I’ll be sure to pop back in from time to time and throw my 2 cents in, you know I have to keep things interesting.
