Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2016 Costume Policy

General:

• Disney may deny admission to anyone or remove anyone who is wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or could detract from other guests' experiences.
• Guests may dress as their favorite characters, but cannot pose for pictures or sign autographs.
• Costumes must be family-friendly and not obstructive, offensive, violent or objectionable.
• Costumes must not contain weapons that resemble or could be mistaken for real weapons.
• Costumes may not contain sharp or pointed objects, or materials that might strike another guest.
• Guests who do not abide by the guidelines may be refused entry or removed unless their costumes can be modified to acceptable standards.

For guests ages 14 and up:

• Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and subject to additional security screening.
• Costumes may not reach or drag the ground.
• Capes should not go below the waist.
• Themed T-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts and hats are OK to wear
• Transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords and tutus are OK. Headwear must not cover the face.
• Masks are not allowed.

For guests ages 13 and under:

• Costumes and some masks may be worn

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2016 Entering Procedures


The party officially begins at 7 p.m. inside Magic Kingdom. Party guests are welcome to enter the park starting at 4 p.m., which we recommend taking advantage of. One question that comes up frequently in comments is how Disney handles the transition from the park close to the start of the party. Well before the park closes for the party at 7 p.m., cast members are out and about to remind guests that the park closes at 7 p.m. All party guests will be given party wristbands upon entering. At 7 p.m., cast members stationed around the park will be asking guests to show wristbands if they are not visible. Guests that do not have them will be directed to the exits.

FastPass+ at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2016


FastPass+ is not available during the party. There is generally less need for it as most people are enjoying the party activities and spending less time on rides. Party guests entering the park between 4 and 7 p.m. can, however, use FastPass+, provided their party ticket is linked in My Disney Experience. Party guests entering the park before the party begins also may be able to use their party ticket at a FastPass+ kiosk. However, FastPass+ selections are based on availability, and return times for many of the attractions may no longer be available for that day.

This year's event will run from September 14th through November 14th, 2016. - a record 62 days!

The festival features special events, culinary and beverage demonstrations, celebrity chefs, and the World Showcase Marketplace tasting booths.

2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Highlights

• Food & Wine experiences expanding to the Resorts - New events include: "Brunch with a Twist" at the Grand Floridian, "The Secrets of Flavor" at the Yacht Club, "Culinary Adventures with a Master Chef" at the Contemporary Resort, and "Behind the Scenes at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto" at the Polynesian Village Resort.
• Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! workshops - These workshops will be held at the Festival Center and will give guests a chance to learn culinary skills from chefs, bakers, mixologists, and others!

• Premium events such as the "Rockin' Burger Block Party," signature dinners, and other special wine and culinary programs will be available. A new Grand Floridian brunch with a twist will join the lineup this year.
• The complimentary Back to Basics weekend series will be back at the Festival Center. Learn tips and tricks from the pros, get books and bottles signed, and check out Ghirardelli's The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar.
• The Festival Private Label California Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon will return, both by the bottle and the glass.

Eat to the Beat 2016

Throughout the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, there are daily concerts from popular bands from the 80's and 90's at the American Gardens Theater in the American Adventure Pavilion in Epcot.

These concerts are free with Epcot admission, and take place three times per evening (5:30pm, 6:45pm, 8:00pm).

We switched from the Poly to the CR because I got an amazing deal, whoop!! Magical express tags came in the mail yesterday--what!--I can't remember ever getting them this soon. Made all my ADRs, got everything I wanted. (It was so much easier to get my ressies this year vs last--maybe because FD hasn't been announced?). Now waiting on F&W concert info, Epcot FP+, ROL, and Star Wars fireworks deets. Feeling excited!!

Also the solo fishing excursions are only in the afternoon, when fish are not usually as active. Anyone want to team up with him for a morning excursion?
