What a special moment to get to see your sister in the parade and in Tokyo at that. Making memories for sure. I love the floats, the costumes and the vibrant colors.

After the parade past we had to make our way to tomorrowland to use our fast passes for space mountain. Since the parade was going the shortest way to tomorrowland we had to walk the whole back of the park…just to get stopped by it in toon town. Second viewing (of the last round of floats) was just as magical.

Getting In Trouble In The Kingdom
It was finally time to travel to space and see how weird it was to sit next to each other on space mountain.
We were really excited about the moving platform that takes you up into the building, you know just the little things.
How excited were we for space mountain? very excited
We got the front row of our rocket and when the cm came around to check our seatbelt it startled Marisa, made her basically back hand the poor girl and scared her. So while marisa was apologizing to a girl who didn’t even look like she understood what she was saying, I was dying of laughter.
Overall Space mountain was good. It was so strange to me though how smooth it was. It was weird for me not being jerked around so much. I also think that it needed a drop or two to make it more thrilling.
Next up was to get a late lunch/early dinner at the restaurant I have been looking forward to the most…Queen of Hearts banquet
I’m not the biggest Alice in Wonderland fan but the detailing in this place is amazing!
While in line the mom from the family (which we later found out was visiting from Arizona) in front of us turned to us and said “Oh my gosh I actually understood what people were saying around us” It was such a strange comment but so true to the fact that we tuned everyone out because you couldn’t understand what they were saying.
The lovely array of dessert
The set up to this quick service was something I wasn’t really expecting. It’s basically like a school cafeteria, you go down the line and pick up what you want. And what better way to start then having dessert come first on the line up.
While picking out your sides a CM comes around with a menu to pick out an entree. When you get to the end your meal will be waiting.
After you pay a cm comes over, grabs your tray and takes you to an open table.
Marisa got the chicken that came with mashed potatoes with red and yellow peppers and a chocolate cake.
I went with a very heart themed meal. I got the heart meat patty that came with mashed potatoes with red and yellow peppers and a cracker then for dessert I got the strawberry heart mousse.
We both enjoyed this meal and basically scrapped our plates clean.
After our meal we needed to head to the front of the park to meet a certain gypsy.
We had a bit before the characters came out so what better way to waste time then to take more selfies, but this time in front of the castle.
When you look out it’s just a sea of people

We then joined the crowd down below where we took more photos
We then remembered how awesome iPhones are with their self timers so we could get some photos together.
with all the fun we were having we finally were told to stop. Selfie sticks were the cause of us getting in trouble, don’t set it up like a tripod on your backpacks because tripods are not allowed in the parks. Whoops are bad!
Luckily for us it was time to get moving, so we headed to the front with a few stops here and there to take pictures of their easter displays.

Oh my goodness, I just spent pretty much all morning catching up on your trip report so far. I love it! My husband and I are starting to plan a trip for early March next year and your report is already super helpful! LOVE the parade and I am not generally a parade type of person.

Feeling Like The Paparazzi
My little spy on the inside told me that Esmerelda’s set changed times and to be ready right way. We got to the front of the park and found a group of people just standing around with all their fancy cameras. This is great because when you see these people/ fans you know you are in the right spot to find some characters.
It was kind of boring waiting around but the excitement grew as we saw a big group of character attendants walk out. Then a whole bunch of characters came out to roam the entrance of the park. Bert, Mary, aurora, phillip, and esmerelda.
This was our first major experience with free roaming characters.The fans flock around the characters and follow them around like the paparazzi until they stop to take photos. While most of the guests come to the park to meet characters, I was on a time crunch and following Esmerelda around the front of the park was not what I had in mind.
Esmerelda is probably the sassiest character I have ever met in my entire life.
She was kind enough to make me a hood out of her cape to keep me warm from the chill air
Even with all her sassy remarks this gypsy does has a soft spot.
After taking up way to much time I had to knock off the last thing on my list to do while in Japan…gypsy high kicks.
Her attendant basically rocked and got the shot in one snap.
After seeing Es we headed back into the park and down World Bazaar
This time we decided to head left into the area of the park we had yet to discover. First up we past the waffle shop where we took note to stop back there for a delicious treat.
Adventure land was undergoing I little refurb at the moment meaning no Pirates for us
We walked around their little new orleans square which was still considered adventure land and browsed the gift shops
We walked the rest of adventure land and compared to the rest of the park it seemed pretty small.
Jungle cruise takes up the whole back of Adventureland. We knew we wouldn’t understand most to none of the dialogue and jokes so we bypassed it.
Right at the entrance to Adventureland is the good old Swiss family treehouse
With a hidden olaf floating by
We left Adventureland and headed towards Westernland
Our time was up to join the 99 happy haunts.

Goat Effect Fail
Overall the Haunted Mansion is basically the same compared to WDW with some little differences here and there. One big thing is that the stretching room exit is NOT under the tight rope girl. So don’t run to her thinking you are going to beat the crowd because you will be very sad.
The sun was going down, which made for a nice picture but the low temperatures were just around the corner.
We passed critter country and I was so sad that it was too cold for a log ride to the laughing place.
It was alright because we had some thunder fastpasses ready to be used.
We were taking back at how long the fastpass line was, it had its own roped off queue in front of the main area. As we were heading to get in line a lady stopped us to give us her extra fps but then realized we had our own. I mean I would have taken them for an extra ride but she walked away with them.
while boarding our run away train I made sure to get in first to have Marisa on my right for goat effect. If any of you are familiar with the goat effect at WDW I’m sorry to tell you it doesn’t have the same effect here in tokyo. Also adding to it, there is a divider in the seats so you can’t smush your fellow rider.
The wildest ride in the wilderness is one of my favorite attractions and all though I loved it, is seemed a bit more tame then wild. Also rounding the first corner I was really disappointed that there was no bats, I don’t really know why because I can’t stand the noise. However near the end the bats get their own little debut before dropping down into the bones, which I thought was a cooler idea.
After thunder we walked around Westernland, and although its not Frontierland here I still fell in love with this land.
We found a cute little store basically dedicated too Danny from So Dear to My Heart. I’m personally not familiar with the film itself but I do know the films popular song, Lavender Blue (Dilly, Dilly).
They also old fashion pictures that you could get done, we actually thought about it but then once we saw the price we decided “maybe not”
We made our way out of western land in search of some dinner and found a strange looking Pecos Bill.
We found ourselves on Bazaar and decided since we had chicken nuggets for breakfast it would only be fitting if we had breakfast for dinner. Mickey waffles were calling our names.
I was actually pretty excited about a waffle. There was a line but we got to watch them make the waffles as we waited.
We both went with the strawberry and custard waffle and it was delicious!
It was about that time to go stake out a place for the electrical parade.

Electrical Parade: Dreamlights
Originally I told Alicia that we were planning to sit in the same area for the night time parade as we did for Happiness is here. However once we got our waffles we found a nice spot near the castle right across from the crystal palace. So I quickly texted her our location as well as a picture so she could look for us on parade route.
The wait for this parade was a little rough. The sun was down and there was nothing keeping us warm. It was a nice 38-40 degrees out but thankfully Alicia gave us some of her heating pads she gets from work. The fun part was not knowing how to use them because they were all in Japanese.
Before the parade started I got out all my electronics to take photos of what I knew was going to be a better Electrical parade then WDW. But thanks to my luck and it being freezing outside my 40% charged phone died and my cannon with half charge died. I quickly put my phone on my pocket charger to turn it back on and used my camera for as long as I could

This electrical parade was SOOOOO MUCH BETTER. I would stay and watch it ever night if I could. The saddest thing we missed was the other cool new float that wasn’t running that night, the peter pan pirate ship. In videos I’ve seen it looked awesome but it’s just another reason for me to go back.

The Peter Pan float also wasn't running when I saw the parade last summer, not long after the newest floats debuted. It must go down quite a bit, for whatever reason. Oh well- like you said, another reason to go back.

Pictures of the light parade are beautiful! The Main Street Electrical Parade has a special place for me since I remember seeing it as a kid at DLR and then watched it with my kids 2 years ago at WDW. Tokyo's version is definitely updated, and I'm excited to get the chance to watch it in the future

From what I heard with my experience one of the people called off of work and they don't have back ups. So I was totally bummed about that.The Peter Pan float also wasn't running when I saw the parade last summer, not long after the newest floats debuted. It must go down quite a bit, for whatever reason. Oh well- like you said, another reason to go back.
WDW needs a major update. Its lacking in the night time parade compared to the other parks
They have some amazing floats for there night time parade and I'm extremely jealous.Pictures of the light parade are beautiful! Sticky Pics and Milk Tea
After the parade we were basically numb and decided to head into the stores. Tonight I made a mental note of all the things I wanted to pick up tomorrow for our last days in the park.
We ended up not staying to see Once Upon A Time, which is like Celebrate the Magic at wdw. I was kind of really bummed about this but I was to cold and everything electronic died.
Goodbye Disneyland see ya bright and early tomorrow morning!
We walked back to the train station when Marisa goes “Sticky pics?!” it was still kind of early in the night so why not go get some sticky pics before we have to had back to America where they don’t exist.
After finishing decorating our kawaii photos my phone decided to start working again. Alicia texted me saying she was back at the station heading home, if my phone was working she could have joined in on the sticky pic fun.
With our sticky pics done we headed to the Disney store right across the way where I picked up a rapunzel crown ring.
We finally made the trek back to Alicia’s apartment. We hopped on the train then made the 15-20 minute walk back. Tonight was the night where we decided to browse the 711 right outside the apartment building and we both picked up some milk tea.
Once we finally got back we stayed up till midnight talking about our day, looking through our photos, looking up busses to take back to the airport for our last day and starting the dreaded packing.
