Those who read my last PTR may remember the bag dilema I was having. I wanted a small bag to fit the few park items I carry plus my little digital camera and my mini DV-recorder camera. I finally found a small bag that would work but now that my little digital camera died and I opted on a bigger camera, this trip needs a bigger bag.
Here are pic's of the bag dilema from last trip......
The tongue was a tribute to Jordan. Here was my camera "ball" instead of a bag.
Here was the dilema I was having....hopefully not having to carry 2 bags to the park...
The bag that worked last time...
This brings me to that sling bag that I showed you guys about a month ago that I ordered online. Well, it got here and it is HUGE!! When I put it on it takes up my entire back from my shoulders to halfway down my butt!! I thought maybe I'd carry it anyway but when I put the camera in it and tried it on, then tried to slide it around to get the camera out quickly....there was no "quickly" about it. I will use this bag as my "soccer mom" bag from now on but it is not coming with me to WDW.
I then went on to pull apart my small digital camera and put it back together and it turned on! I thought I'd take it with me to the parks but have the bigger one in the car or a locker as back up. But I really, really want to carry around my NEW camera!
This dilema has been bothering me since I bought the bigger camera and planned this make up trip. So today DS and I set out to find a bag no matter how long it took. I'm happy to say, I found one by the 2nd store and.....DUH...I found it at Target. Not in the normal bag/luggage section and not in the purse section, but in the MEN'S section!! They had a few messenger type bags and I found one that was on the smaller side....well for a man anyway. I'm only 5' 3" so for me it's about a medium sized bag.
The point is that I found one to fit the camera and it has a couple of other small pockets so that I can put the few park essentuals that I usually carry in my bag. DH carries a backpack so most of our stuff is in there but we each carry things like Advil, Tums, bandaids, and potty seat covers that have "stick 'em" on the back for DS in case he just has to do "that" at the park. Luckily that hasn't happened yet! The seat covers are cool...they are oversized so they cover the entire seat, and they have plastic on the back so no "moisture" that may be on the seat will come through, and they stick to the seat so they won't slide around.
Anyhoo, back to the bag issue.....So my new bag isn't very feminine looking obviously since I got it in the men's section, but I think it's going to work so I am super happy now.
New bag...
New bag with New camera inside. I placed 2 folded up pillowcases in the bottom to give it some cushion.
I also bought DS some blue Disney Croc's today since he didn't have any shoes to go with the Hawaiian outfits that we are wearing to Kona. He hasn't taken them off since we got home so I had to take a pic with them on his feet. FJ is helping to guard DS's new shoes.
