Great Googly Moogly, Batman! This thread is out of control - Part II!!!
As previously stated - you guys are all wonderful! Thanks so much for reading and posting!
Triple cheer for this review! DH and I are pawning off the kids on good friends and are planning to get silly drunk here! I am so glad your report was favorable. I called DH earlier and told him I waiting for a review from Brenda. He asked who the &%@* is Brenda? I told him the girl who hates wind and will show her girls for ice cream! I think he loves you!
You kill me! I'm glad you like the Raglan Road review - I hope you enjoy your evening there and I will be waiting eagerly to read
your review of it!
The beer sampler looks great and I am SO trying that Sangria; I lurve Sangria! The lamb looks so good too. I really like lamb!
Their Sangria is the best variation that I've ever tried. I think you'll really like it - it's very refreshing and served with a straw so that you can drink it fast and order another one before the alcohol smacks you upside the head.
We liked this beer sampler a little more than the one we tried on our last visit, but they're both a great way to try something new without committing to an entire pint.
Heads up on the lamb - it's not on the standard menu. It was a special they were offering for the evening. Hopefully you'll get the same option when you're there if you like lamb that much.
Ok, So you couldn't PM me nad let me know you had started!! I had to be poster 47!!!! Yeah, I see what kind of friend you are!!
Glad to see you have started.
Oh, now I'm sad....I wasn't trying to leave you out of the fun. I posted a general message on the Shrubbery in the hopes that everyone would see it and those brave souls who wanted to cross over could come take a look at the food love.
I'm glad you're here 'cause it wouldn't be the same without you...am I forgiven?
Beware of those people over at shrubbery central. They are animals!!
Thanks for the warning...I guess I'd better get an update over there soon, huh?
Ragland Road looks so good. I have a feeling that I may be rearranging some of my ADRs for Sept.
That desert sampler looks delicious.
Twice now we've had great meals at Raglan Road so I don't feel as hesitant to recommend it to others. I hope if you do try it that you have as good a time as we did. And save room for the sampler...it was terrific!
And I thought that I was the only one who ever walked into the mens bathroom. At least you realized it before you actually used the bathroom.
It seems that not only are there a number of us who will Flash For Dessert, but many of us end up in the men's room by mistake, too. We all have so much in common!
If I'd been drinking too much I might have just gone ahead and walked into a stall and done the deed without ever realizing where I was. Now that's shocking!
DD, a big simpsons fan shrieked "Marge sold the Murder House" when she read this and cracked up
Too funny! We love that episode...
Marge: "That house is on fire!"
Lionel Hutz: "Motivated seller!!"
She is a huge fan of your reports.
Well then, thanks to both of you for reading! I'm glad you're having fun!
Brenda, I would love to see the whisky flights if you don't mind. We are taking my parents to RR on our November trip and I think this is the restaurant I think my Dad will like the most. He is more of a whisky type of guy than beer and I want to be able to tell him sort of what to expect.
TIA

Just found your trip report/dining review ... can't wait for more!
Thanks for reading - there will be a lot more to come.
I haven't been drinking tonite but I did translate it quite well! I guess I'm well versed in drunken mumble!
I tried to make it phonetic and funny, so as long as people are familiar with universal "mumble" it should have been easy to translate!
Tho I am not a beer drinker my DH will love this!
It's still a pretty cool bar set-up so I'm sure you'll enjoy the setting and the atmosphere while the DH enjoys the beer! May I suggest you try a Sangria?
Okay...about the bathrooms...even with the "F" in Gaelic, I would have probably mistaken that for "Female". Were they labeled better than that? I may end up in the wrong one! That would be me!
You know, I don't really remember too much more about the signage on the restroom doors. Just remember that as you hit the hallway where the restrooms are, the ladies room is the first door. Then you'll be fine!
Up here in Cheesehead Country anytime a female walks into a men's room, we are cheered and invited wholeheartedly to "help out" where needed.
Great update Brenda!
Bwahahahaahaaaa!!! Too funny! Maybe I'll give it a try next time we're in Milwaukee just to see what happens!
Thanks for reading, Nancy.
Raglan Road is one of the restuarants Dh and want to try on our next trip and now that our terrorist are evil teenagers we can leave them for an evening and actually have a drink with dinner.
P.S. remind me to tell you of the time I walk into the men's room during a company christmas party and utter the immortal words to my boss. "Pete what are you doing in the girls bathroom?"
looking forward to Boma's report
Well, as I've said before, I hope you enjoy RR if you do try it, and please let me know what you think once you do!
Feel free to share that bathroom story whenever you'd like...sounds entertaining! And I hope you're not disappointed, but I don't have a Boma review... I do however, have a Jiko review!
Thanks for reading!
too funny about your bathroom mishap! but what i'm wondering is.....why in the world did you break the seal so early when planning a night of drinking????
by the way, what is that little yellow baggie thing on the plate with your fish and chips?
Hi Dawn! Let's just call it a strategic break, and leave it at that.
The little yellow baggie is lemon, half of one actually. For those people who like lemon juice on their fish they can squeeze out fresh juice and the mesh bag is so tightly woven that it prevents seeds and pulp from getting on the food and the hand of the person doing the squeezing.
YIPPEE!!! Brenda has started her dining review!!
Am looking forward to all of your reviews, Brenda - especially the Chef's Table! Did you manage to find any formal wear for Plankton?
Hi there young lady! Thanks for popping in - is work easing up on you at all?
As for Plankton and the CT...we were unable to fit him out appropriately and they wouldn't allow him in without a jacket and tie. The result being that Plankton is really cheesed off and is plotting some payback come October. Much of this will be detailed in the formal trip report, so please stay tuned for more madness!
I was wondering the same thing!
Please see my repsonse to Punkin's post...
Ding, ding ding!!! You are correct - thank you!
Brenda, I actually can eat sundaes (so I'll definitely go to Ghirardelli's on our next trip...whenever that is), just no nuts. Me+nuts=bad. And now it seems I'll have to drag the parental units to Raglan Road (dad is of Irish descent and mom loves Irish pubs). By the time we go in the indeterminate future, I'll be over 21 and can enjoy some of that Celtic Sangria.
Thanks so much again...can't wait for Chefs de France and Jiko.
Kiki
Good for you, Kiki! You deserve a sundae or two. And the Sangria at RR is great - I hope you enjoy it if you get a chance to try it.
Thanks again for reading!
Got it immediately. I have had a little wine this evening, maybe that helped?
OK, here's what freaked us out about the bar - the area behind the bottles is mirrored, but there are blank areas that look through to the bar on the other side. DH kept trying to figure out why he didn't look like he remembered, and I, in a slightly tipsy state, tried to "mirror" him when I went to the ladies' room. Mind you, I DID go to the ladies' room!
Thanks for the great review, Brenda!
So does this mean you had a good "date" when you went to Raglan Road? I hope so. And you make an excellent point about the bar that I totally forgot. Beware those of you who drink too much while waiting at the bar...it can be a little visually confusing!
Thanks for reading!
Wooo hoooo, another Brenda trippie!!!
Loving it already!
I totally hear you about "going back to a WDW dining establishment after having had a great experience there"! Every time we go back, we have this experience. We find a great place, couldn't be any more perfect and then the next trip, it totally bites!
I am so worried about our October trip because we have TWO of these, one is lunch at Le Cellier and the other is breakfast at RFC at AK. Crossing my fingers that they are not horrible upon our return!
Can't wait for the rest of the food porn!!!
Thanks for stopping by to read, Cass! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far.
I thought we were the only ones who experienced the dining jinx - it sucks, doesn't it? And it really sucks when you've gone out on a limb and talked it up to other people and then you all get to experience the disappointment together. Ugh....
I think you guys won't have anything to worry about come October, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you just in case. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about RFC... we were going to try them for breakfast one morning over at DTD only to find out that that location doesn't serve breakfast. D'OH!
"I'm a torso!"
that beer looks a little too dark for a Harps (usually a lighter beer).... looks like it might be more like a Kronenbourg 1664....
Hey, it's another Mr. Mysterious!
"Trying is the first step towards failure."
You're good! I checked with hubby after posting my review and he informed me that he was in fact drinking a Kronenbourg!!!
Nicely done!
Okay, it's Saturday night....
4 year old is finely, mercifully asleep
DH is out of town, playing D&D with buddies that he has played with for over 15 years...
I get on the computer and look at porn.... food porn that is! My eyes never got off the sundae. Had to laugh when you talked about the overbite and the cleavage as I NEVER SAW PAST THE SUNDAE!!!
Why do I gain 2 pounds everytime I read your reviews?
Waiting to gain more.... Keep up the good porn! You are my fav disney porn queen! (and the only one that I know of, other than the frames that they put in to the movie that Walt caught!)
June
Hi there, June! Thanks for taking the time to read our reviews and thanks for the kind words. There will be many more cyber-weight gain opportunies in the days ahead.
Great trippie, Brenda! I am loving the pics.........Keep 'em coming.
Paige, hi there! Thanks for coming over to read, I know you must be crazy busy right now. There will be lots more for you to read when you have time. Have a safe trip from CA to VA!
Woo Hoo! - ford porn!
Great start - keep em coming
Auntie Karen!! Plankton says hello! Thanks for reading...more food to come but no cheesecake, sorry.
wow- count me in - lovin' it
Thanks for reading- I'm glad you like it so far!
L or F I would have thought it was the ladies too
I can't believe you don't have vinegar and tomato sauce (ketchup) with your chips
Love the reviews I'm now wanting to add RR to my ADR's
I just want to thank all of you for your restroom support!
I can't stand ketchup... yucko! I'm a weirdo because I love tomatoes but I don't like ketchup. I could go on...I hate peanuts but love peanut butter... but then this thread would really spiral out of control!
Thanks again for reading, Jo. I hope you enjoy RR if you do change your ADRs.
Brenda!!
Those sundaes look scrumptious! I have to admit, I too scrolled back up after the overbite and cleavage comments.
Hi Lori, thanks for stopping by! Those sundaes were yumptious...and that picture of me was just begging from some kind of snarky comment, don't you think?
I'm so glad your second trip to Raglan Road didn't disappoint. We had the experience with the DWDJx, so I know what you're talking about. I still haven't booked any dining for October except the Hoop De Doo, and Raglan Road is on the short list for sure.
Glad you're back and feeling better!
We have some potential DWDJx restaurants lined up for October but I'm trying not to worry about it too much.
You need to get moving on those ADRs young lady...or are you just going to spend all your time at Epcot eating and drinking at the food booths?
And I am feeling better, thank you. Thanks again for reading...and let DS know that we will have some more Plankton pics for him soon!
Great Reviews so far I can't wait to read more. We are coming down in Sept. so now I am even more excited than ever and can I say starving????
Thanks for reading - I'm glad you like it so far! I'm hungry, too! Where are you planning on dining in September?
