The Food Was Not Undelicious: May 25-June 1, 2007!! Completed - Post #794

Brenda

Too funny. You're a hoot. Happy belated anniversary too. Glad I found your thread, can't wait to read more. The dessert looks very yummy. I love that place.

so brenda's doing a dining review, huh? welp, there goes my diet!

mental note to myself: go to ghirardelli's website and get that coupon. got it!

Hooray!:cheer2: Another report has begun! I just want you to know I'm drooling over your hot fudge sundae as I eat my 4 point weight watcher lunch. Guess which was probably better?:rotfl2: (Although fat free pringles chips are pretty darn good...)

First off, let me just say thank you so much for all the anniversary wishes. :grouphug:

And, then...wow! I couldn't believe the number of responses on this thread when I popped back in this morning. Proof positive that you should start everything with dessert! ;)

Thank you all for reading and posting - I love to hear from everyone and should you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Yea!!!! You are back with more food porn!!!

Happy Anniversary! Jill in KC

Thanks, Jill! I hope you enjoy this next round of food porn...I think it's much more appealing than the one we did in October, but maybe that's because I'm still hungry.

I also think Disney needs a new food campaign...

Happy belated anniversary!

I can't wait to read your reviews!

Thank you!

Happy Anniversary!

Bring on the food!

Thank you! More food is coming...lots and lots of food!

:thumbsup2 Awesome! We will be trying California Grill and Ragland Road; can't wait to read all about it!

You've picked two of our favorite restaurants - I hope our reviews will reinforce that you've made some good choices.

The hair! What do I win Wink?
Fun report! :thumbsup2

You are correct! It was the hair...:rotfl2: What gave it away...my use of the word coiffure or the fact that you deduced from previous reports that I tend to be no-fuss, no-muss during the day?

As for your fabulous prize...let me get back to you on that one, ok? ;)

I love your dining reviews so much. I'm glad you've started another one, and I can't wait for the next installment. ]

Thank you so much!

Your dessert looks AWESOME! I can't wait to read the rest!

I must say, I was quite pleased with dessert at Ghiradelli. It definitely lived up to the hype. Actually, all the restaurants we tried on this trip lived up to the hype with the exception of one...which I will leave undisclosed until the appropriate time.

Excellent:thumbsup2

Thanks!

Oh wow. I'm so glad I found you at the beginning of the report! I cannot finish my Ghirardelli dessert, either. ;)

Hi Lori! How ya doin'? That dessert was so good but it's so rich and the size is just huge...I don't know how anyone is able to finish their dessert. Well, actually that's not true; I know Jay was able to finish his because he actually has a second stomach just for vacation, but I don't know of anyone other than him that does that. ;)

Brenda I have not been dissappointed with your first review you're hilarious, keep them coming

Thanks, Jo. I'll try to keep the quality high!

Can't wait to read more! We are eating a Raglan Rd. for the first time on our Sept. trip and we are staying at SSR!!! Looking foward to your next review!

Thanks for reading! We've eaten at RR twice now in the last 8 months and we really enjoyed it both times. I hope you and your family will, too. And SSR was a lovely resort - beautifully landscaped and nice and quiet due to the size of the property. But be sure to bring your walking shoes!

Well done Brenda,
Great report & don't worry about the **** flashing thing, hey that dessert looks like it would make me lift a shirt. :thumbsup2

Can't wait for the next installment.

Thanks so much for reading - your post had me :rotfl2: I think on our next trip I may just flash my husband if we end up with a particularly tasty dessert somewhere.

Now that I think about it that picture of me with the sundae does kind of bring a new meaning to the concept of food porn, doesn't it. :lmao:

Don't worry, mods... I'm just teasing! There will be no more inappropriate references to dessert cleavage!!

BTW - I love your comment about trying to find your glasses when not wearing your glasses!

Yum. So far so good. :thumbsup2

My guess at the blatant lie: Coat in 80 degree weather.

Why?

Well...If you don't wear pants when it is subzero, it stands to reason you won't wear a coat when it's 80 degrees.
:rolleyes1

Hope I am right! [What's the prize?]

[Side note - I am kicking myself I didn't have you send postcards to my niece, nephew, and my kids. DOH!]

Keep up the good work!

Hi Sarah! Thanks for reading, but I am sorry to say that you are incorrect - it was the hair. Your logic is sound based on the no-pants episode from October, but the truth of the matter is that I am always cold and I did have my jacket with me nearly evey day on this trip.

But don't be sad...I have no fabulous prize to offer...only more yummy food pictures and reviews. I hope that's acceptable. ;)

Oh bilge! I wish I'd PMd you before we left. I did send some postcards for some DISers and I would have been more than happy to send some for you - I just couldn't remember everyone that had trips coming up. I think there may be a thread around here somewhere... The Fairy Godmother maybe ... where you can ask someone who's got a trip prior to yours to send a card to the kids.

Yay, you've started! I hope this means you are feeling better. Those sundaes look soooo good, and they are huge!!!

Looking forward to more!

Denise

Hi Denise! I am feeling much better, thank you. And thanks for popping over to take a read...more to come!

BTW - I saw your edit and you are correct... it was the hair! :lmao:

Great reviews! I can't wait to read more! :)

Thanks!

Really enjoy reading your reviews!

Thank you!

Yum! Glad you're feeling better!

Hi there and thanks! I see you're back from your WDW trip...did you make it to Raglan Road and did you enjoy it?

Great start, can't wait to read more!

Thanks!

More to come...hang on to your kernals! ;)

Yea! :yay: Brenda's back- Wohoo! Love your reports as always.

Thank you!

What a great start!!! That sundae looks awesome! Kiki

Hi Kiki! If you can handle it I say you need to get over to Ghiradelli on your next visit... it was so good!

Brenda

Too funny. You're a hoot. Happy belated anniversary too. Glad I found your thread, can't wait to read more. The dessert looks very yummy. I love that place.

Thank you very much - we had a lovely anniversary. :thumbsup2
I can't believe it took us this long to finally try something at Ghiradelli's soda fountain...we're such slackers.

so brenda's doing a dining review, huh? welp, there goes my diet!

mental note to myself: go to ghirardelli's website and get that coupon. got it!

Hey Dawn! If it makes you feel any better I still haven't made it back to my diet yet. And yes, you must register for Choco-mail - the coupon doesn't have an expiration date and sometimes they'll send you yummy recipes for things that are not part of any diet plan I've ever seen. ;)

Thanks again everyone for reading and posting - Raglan Road is in process!

Loving your review and looking forward to more. However, I must admit a strange thing that I did. I was reading along and looking at your picture. Mainly I focused on the brownie sundae that looked scrumptious. Then I read about how your overbite now returned and you were sporting a bit of cleavage. I had to scroll up to look again. Then I thought, "What am I doing? How strange am I to go back to look for that?" Uhm, sorry....I am not that way...not that there's anything wrong with that!

Hey there! It's nice to see you on the new and improved food porn thread! Although my sundae may have tasted better, your lunch is definitely better for you, so kudos to you for eating healthy! I'm trying to do the same...just not today! :lmao:

Thanks for reading!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thank you so much...for reading, for posting, and for making me laugh! I would have scrolled back to look, too! In fact, it was after I posted the picture that I thought to myself, "Self, there's not enough dessert in that picture but there does seem to be some chestage on display." And then, "And why are you smiling like that? You haven't needed headgear in more than 20 years so what gives with the buck-toothed grin?"

I had to comment on it...I'm always poking fun at something so I figured I might as well start with me (I'm an easy target!).

Thanks again for reading!

Ooh! I'm so excited! The girl who turned me on to Disney Dining is back. Your list of restaurants sounds great. I'm almost embarrassed:blush: to tell you where we are eating on our upcoming trip. (It's a trip full of kid friendly dining. I'll save the story of why for my report though, since I don't want to hi-jack what promises to be lots of food porn fun!)

Congrats on your anniversary! pixiedust: It'll be 9 years for us this July.

Oh Mah Gawd. A food review from my buddy Brenda - I am in heaven and living vicariously!

Brenda, I'm so glad I found your dining report at the very beginning.

The sundaes look so good. I wanted to try one in Jan. but my sister and her husband didn't want to wait in line. I think that I was the only one who was willing to wait in line for a desert so I was overruled. It is on my to do list when we go in Sept. I will be there the day we arrive coupon in hand (thanks Brenda); I will accept no excuses.

I can't wait to hear all about the rest of your meals, especially Victoria and Alberts. (you are going to busy with 3 reports going at once)

Thanks for sharing.

I can't believe that I've only just realised that you've started your dining report, and its already at page 3! I'm such a slacker - better get on board now and try to keep up with all three of your reports. Enjoying it so far, and looking forward to hearing about the Chef's Table at V&A. :surfweb:

Your first review back was not unhilarious! Next time you are going to showcase your dessert cleaves I suggest arranging yourself behind 2 whip cream covered sundaes. Take it from one who knows - very effective. Am also glad you are feeling better enough to post (do you ever feel like a slave to your fans?). Coincidentally, my sister was also in WDW this past week. You probably saw her - she looks like me!? I was however a tiny bit more excited to have you back though. She does not DIS and took not a single photo of a single meal?! LAME!

Great start, Brenda! Let the Food Porn begin! :cool1: Looking forward to the rest.

Dunno if you saw it on the Shrubbery thread, but I made the sticky toffee pudding a couple weeks ago. It was great! Thanks for the recipe!

We leave on Friday!!!!

Next week at this time we should be rolling back to the BWV after Le Cellier!!!:thumbsup2

I really don't like the wind.

And I was going to guess that this was the comment that was a blatant lie (remember our cruise???...Very windy...)until I read forward and found out it was the hair! Sorry, I cheated. And we all know that cheaters never win. :sad2:

So...I present now for your lip-smacking enjoyment...

Since I'm not much of an icecream fan, do you think Ghiradelli would just give me a bowl of thick, rich whipped cream, paired with all that hot fudge, covering the entire brownie? I have to watch those WW points too and the icecream might put me over for the day. :rolleyes1

I also notice that I'm flashing some unintentional dessert cleavage...bad posture and the promise of hot fudge tend to have that effect on me.

And far be it from me not to mention the "Once again strategically placed button"? I don't know B, you and those buttons.:rotfl2:

Thanks for the Saturday afternoon entertainment Brenda. Looking forward to more.

WHERE are the photos of the hot dogs, young lady? How can I ever imagine what they looked like without photographic evidence?

Until further notice, I will believe that this was your first meal at WDW:

hot_dog-798825.jpg

BRENDA EATS PUPPIES.

And it's okay- I totally flash ****s at the prospect of ice cream, too.

Can't wait to hear about V&A! And Jiko! And when you finally DO make it to Earl of Sammich! And Chefs de France! And...well, you get the point.
