This installment we add a few more members to the cast. Introducing the Disney Family which includes
BDF: My Best Disney Friend. She was my BN (best neighbor) until almost 2 years ago. It was a sad day when they left.
Luckily Ive been able to meet up with her at Disney World a couple of times since they left. She is one of the few people I know in real life who understands and listens to my Disney obsession.
BDFDH: Best Disney Friends husband. A super nice guy that loves Disney World. (In that way he is different from my DH who is a super nice guy that likes Disney World every few years.)
LB #1: Lost Boy #1, 9 years old
LB #2: Lost Boy #2, 7 years old
LB #3: Lost boy #3, 5 years old
LB #4: Lost Boy #4, 3 years old
You read that right 4 lost boys. To join with John and Michael. That made 6 boys and poor Wendy.
She definitely had her hands full. Luckily for Wendy these lost boys had a mother on stand by
My boys love LB#1-4. Wendy said, BDF and BDFDH are my friends. All those boys are weird.
(She actually used their real names instead of acronyms). She tolerated weird boys pretty well however and we all enjoyed our new cast members.
If you didnt figure it out from the introduction of our new cast members, I will now reveal our big lunch plans. We were meeting our new cast members at Sunshine Seasons.
We made our way to the Land and scanned the seating area. There they all were saving 2 big tables for us.
We hurried down and happily greeted the Disney Family. It was great to see them and the boys hit it off right away. They didnt need anytime to get reacquainted! Here is a shot of all the kids eating lunch.
After finishing up our tasty lunch we decided a ride on Living with the Land was in order. We headed over to hop in line and a CM approached us and offered us fastpasses. That sounded much better than waiting 30 minutes so we happily said yes. He then gave us handwritten fastpasses with our return time. They must hot have wanted a group of 11 clogging up the queue.
So with a bit of time to kill we decided to go see the movie Circle of Life. We headed upstairs and into the theater just as the movie started. Perfect timing. It was so much fun to look down the row and see all the kids watching the show. Picture moment.
We really enjoyed the movie. Beautiful scenery and an important message.
After the film it was time for Living with the Land. As usual we enjoyed the ride.
LB#4 was especially cute because he kept asking for the baby alligators. He had been on the ride about 6 months earlier and those alligators must have had a big impact.
Next up was Soarin. This was a big moment for the Disney family because #4 was finally tall enough to ride it. That meant for the first time their whole family could ride it together. No baby swap necessary.
Here the kids are waiting in line.
And here we are preparing to Soar. We took up an entire row. Im not quite sure how DH got stuck all the way on the end with all the kids. It must have been one of those Peter Pan moments and he wanted to spend time with his Lost Boys
LB#4 was a bit nervous being his first time.
It was also the first time for LB#3 and he absolutely loved it. Its always fun to watch a kids first time flying (even without pixie dust)
After Soarin we were done with the Land and had to decide where to head next. BDF and I decided we wanted a group picture with the whole clan so we headed over to the Disney Visa Character Greeting in Innoventions. While we made our way over there we sent the men for Test Track fastpasses, hoping we could do that later. When we arrived at Innoventions it wasnt quite time for the character greeting, but there was already a short line. We hopped in and the kids played the free video games right next to the line. (This was heaven for John.
Id intentionally left his DS at home.)
After a short wait we were escorted into the room and were greeted by Minnie and Goofy. Here are a few of the shots.
I think they turned out pretty good considering the size of the group. Now the question was: What next?
