I disagree with your comment saying it's not "user friendly." For example, if you don't stay in the Royal Palm building of the Grand Floridian then you will need to walk outside from their other buildings to their stores, restaurants and etc. It's the same thing at the Polynesian, where some of the Longhouses are so far away from the Great Ceremonial House that they might as well be in another county.
Using the convenience argument, I assume that you would never stay at any of the Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts or DVC only buildings such as Old Key West, as you need to do a fair amount of walking to get to the lobby "to get something to eat".
